Camping in Hammerfest

During our motorhome tour through Norway, my husband and I also visited the northernmost city in the world. On the way in, you pass through an industrial area and the gas terminal. Behind the harbour, colourful wooden houses are spread across the hillsides. We visited the modern church and learned more about the region’s past and the fate of its people at the Reconstruction Museum.

My tip: In Hammerfest, you can become a member of the Polar Bear Club, the Royal and Ancient Polar Bear Society. This is only possible in person on site. You receive a pin, a membership card and a sticker.
