Motorhome pitch booked months ago. My husband also paid right away. Already on the way, a few days before arrival, due to a phone breakdown, I could no longer check whether the booking had been paid or not. I had saved the confirmation email for the booking. The booking cannot be accessed from Zeltwiese (although that was intended!). Unfortunately, it's not easy to get pitches in high season. I wanted to make sure that the pitch was ours. Through multiple emails, no one could be reached. The email supposedly ended up in the spam folder. The phone number provided here in the app is not being serviced (the call drops). They want to “deliberately be unreachable by phone” - unbelievable! Yes - the fault was mine! But zero reachability? Super bad! It was not even noticed that the valuable pitch stood empty for days.

We were on site for the second time. Great team, if you book in time, you can be in the front row by the lake. It would be nice if the spots were mainly accessible to wakeboarders. The showers and toilets could be cleaned more often during the peak season, especially around noon.

Camping with Light and Shadow Having been here several times in the past years, we were looking forward to a few nice days on the tent meadow in Absberg. Everything from the site, the dedicated young team to the weather was perfect as always. Unfortunately, the culinary offerings at the wakeboard facility left much to be desired this time. The Schumann's Classic Burger offered for 16.50 Euros was an undercooked piece of ground meat with two dry rolls around it. Almost an imposition for this price. The next day, we switched to the Aporol cocktail - this consisted of a mini sip of Aperol, some white wine, and the rest was sweet sparkling water - 7.50 Euros a glass!!! Disappointed, we searched for alternatives around the lake and found them in the surrounding restaurants, where it was not necessarily cheaper (partially it was), but the quality was right. Nothing against a price increase due to inflation - but somewhere the relationship to quality should still be appropriate. As I said, the facility, sanitary rooms, washing facilities, etc. were top-notch and clean, no question - but the rest should also match, especially since many young people were present who certainly do not always have the necessary financial means.

August 2022
In February 2022, we booked a fixed campsite for September 9-11, 2022. In August, we received the message that a camper festival is taking place and that our reserved campsite can no longer be guaranteed due to the festival. It is outrageous that, with a registered group of 70 people who all reserved campsites, we are being moved to other sites due to a last-minute planned camper festival because of a lack of space. This isn't even worth one star and is very poor service 🙈🙃😡

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the campsite. The sanitary facilities are far too few for the number of possible guests. Moreover, they were constantly very dirty and cost extra. The prices at the kiosk are overpriced. €3.40 for an Oreo ice cream is quite audacious. Next kicker: the tent meadow is partially sloped. It's actually unsuitable for camping. Furthermore, the park warden charges me another €5 at the exit of the peninsula even though the pitch was booked until 11 a.m. The stay was an experience I don't want to go through again. I definitely will not come back.

Very cozy little campsite right by the lake. Since vehicles are not allowed on the meadows for camping, it is very comfortable at the site itself. The parking lot is however quickly accessible on foot. The team is very friendly and helpful. We will gladly come back!

Before the stay: easy booking, information prior to booking from a nice, committed staff member Stay: super nice, young, motivated team, helps us at any time. Dreamily beautiful location right by the Brombachsee with a beach. Wakeboarding facility on the premises. At the kiosk there are fresh rolls and coffee every morning. Plenty to offer for families with children during the holidays (holiday program, climbing boxes,...)
