We knew that in September the shuttle bus to the beach in Grau du Roi no longer runs. Those arriving in RVs should definitely bring bicycles, as the site is in the middle of nowhere and you can't get away otherwise. It was nice that in the off-season the disco was no longer active. The noise until 11:00 PM only annoyed us on the first night. Positive aspects included the bakery, the large pool area, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities, and our pitch. Riding at the associated riding stable also went well. Catastrophic was the staff at the reception. One person was so lazy to work, and a young lady was as incredibly unfriendly as I have rarely encountered. The sanitary facilities were somewhat run down and many areas were locked the entire time we were there. The restaurant was a disgrace. A large part of what was on the menu was no longer available (we only have one week left). The ordered pizza was burnt and the drink for my girlfriend didn't even arrive. The waiter constantly walked away and behaved very rudely. Very annoying was also the WiFi use on the site. Access was only available for one device. Each additional device cost six euros per day.

We were passing through from Spain and chose this place because of the good reviews. The reception was very friendly, which made a very good impression. However, when we saw the pitch, we were glad that we had only booked for one night. We were standing in the middle of a half-dried mud patch. We carried all the dirt onto our carpet and into the camper respectively. Of the three sanitary buildings, one was closed, one could be smelled from far away, and the third was relatively clean but very old. We were glad that we could leave again in the morning.

The spot must be reserved in advance, which is why we reserved online 3 days ahead. When I asked if I could take a look at the spot, I was told she was first finishing the reservation and that they didn’t have many spots available. Our spot ended up being surrounded by very tall hedges, together with all the other guests piled up next to the clean sanitary facilities. All the spots around were free. I could go there during the main season too. The staff in the shops were very friendly, the pool was okay. When we parked our car in the neighboring spot the next day to break down our caravan, we were informed after 30 minutes that we could not park there, strangely enough there was time for that. In response to my mention that we were arriving, I only got an "okay." They seem to have no interest in satisfied customers.

Relaxed Family Vacation in Southern France

We particularly liked the bathing facilities. Since we were traveling in June, it was great that they were heated, allowing our children to play in the water for hours (at the time they were about 4 and 6 years old). Additionally, there was a zoo and also a nature walk (accessible only from the campsite). For a fee, ponies or horses could be ridden. The beach and a surfing school could be reached by car in about 5 minutes.

La Petite Camargue is one of the beautiful campsites in the Camargue. Very clean, great pool, great evening entertainment, in the summer months a bus runs for free to the nearby beaches. Riding facilities available on the campsite.

Campsites are partly very small. Beautifully separated by oleanders. Pool is too small for the campsite, it sometimes tips over. Shady campsites, also comfortable in summer. Beach is 5 km away, easily accessible by bike. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sanitary facilities very clean.

Unfortunately, the 4-lane expressway runs directly past the site. In the front rows, the peace and quiet is over from 4:30 AM. I recommend the construction of a noise barrier. We moved to the back rows, and it was good there. The facility is clean, and the staff is friendly. The beach is about a 10-minute drive away.
