The location of the campsite is good. There are many recreational activities in the area. What we didn't like was the constant overcrowding of the washrooms. Always having to queue for showers and dishwashing is not enjoyable. Additionally, the service staff was often overwhelmed.

A comfort pitch that is so uneven that you need half a tree for support is not a comfort pitch! Wastewater could not be connected because it had to flow uphill. The electricity had so many fluctuations that the refrigerator kept switching back to gas mode. It was also not really a pitch by the water. It's just a large puddle whose view was obscured by branches and trees. The sanitary facilities are far too small for such a large area. You always had to stand in line to flush, shower, or use the toilet. Let's be honest, 3 or 4 toilets for several hundred campers per sanitary building is really too little. The cleanliness was okay. At the snack bar, you can only pay by card! The app states: "Important: At the snack bar, you can easily pay by card"! A deposit is also charged but not refunded because you have no cash!

Great place with lots of nature. Super lake with sandy beach. Very suitable for children. The plots are generously sized with plenty of space towards the center. The site is and has been renovated in many areas. The comfort pitches are equipped with water, electricity, and drainage.

A campsite with unused potential. The place is nice. Unfortunately, this is overshadowed by the sanitary facilities. There are too few toilets and showers. During peak times, they are closed and cleaned instead of beforehand and afterward. Unfortunately, the quality of cleaning also depends heavily on the staff. But one thing is unacceptable. The temperature in the family shower cannot be adjusted and is too warm. Just under the children's shower, it was too hot, so I, as an adult, had to endure it. And then in the middle, the water ran out and wouldn't come back on. This seems to be controlled by timers, which are not visible. So I stood there with several children covered in foam under the shower and nothing worked anymore. So I managed to get out and looked for a 'normal' shower that was free and washed and got one child after another ready.

First of all: we have been there twice now. Once in the summer of 21 for 3 weeks and for Pentecost 23. During Pentecost, the staff distributed special phone numbers to families which they can use to report excessive noise from partying groups in the evening. We really appreciated that. Otherwise, what some people say about the sanitary facilities is true: they are not in very good condition and the cleanliness, in my opinion, needs to be better. Everything else we find good there. One has to keep in mind that the operator took over the site in 2019 or 2020. Since then, new offerings have been continuously created and the site is developing. We think the enormous areas where one can stand are fantastic. There is extremely much space, one can easily connect with fellow campers, and the children can play right in front of the site. That's why we are spending our summer vacation there again.

Absolutely not recommended. One half of the park is a major construction site with corresponding noise levels, the other half looks like a trailer park from 8 Mile. The vacation offers advertised on the homepage do not exist. Part of the restaurants do not exist either. It seems someone wants to finance the costly renovation with paying customers.

👍 The tranquility and close proximity to nature. Campsite/Rental accommodation: The friendly demeanor of the staff and the easy extension of our stay by 2 nights due to the weather conditions. 👎 The sanitary facilities should be heated and are in need of renovation. Several options for storing fresh water, even at standard sites. Campsite/Rental accommodation: Expand the dining options.

Behind the name "Wilsumer Berge Resort" lies a family-friendly holiday park surrounded by nature. It is nestled between the municipality of Wilsum and the town of Uelsen near the county of Bad Bentheim and is a charming holiday destination for camping in rural Lower Saxony. The campsite offers the best conditions for a beach holiday in the middle of the countryside, as the heart of the site is an idyllic bathing lake with a private beach. The pitches and accommodation can be booked in various categories, including regular pitches for caravans and motorhomes as well as comfort pitches and rental accommodation. With its wide range of leisure activities for children, idyllic natural location and numerous sports facilities, the Wilsumer Berge Resort is the ideal holiday destination for families, those seeking relaxation and active campers.
The operators of the Wilsumer Berge Resort have come up with some special ideas for children and young people: Several playgrounds, a water playground with raft and water slide as well as an entertainment hall, where not only a climbing wall but also numerous activities await, ensure pure holiday fun for the youngsters. The "Berg Adventure Club" offers age-appropriate outdoor activities, beach games, treasure hunts and theatre performances. The playgroup wanders from one play area to the next depending on their mood and the weather. All campers' favourite place is the large recreational lake with a sandy beach in the middle of the site, which is ideal for swimming, sunbathing and water sports. A shallower children's area and a swimmers' area offer the right water for everyone. There is also a pond that is ideal for splashing around, playing and rafting. The rest of the time, guests at the Wilsumer Berge holiday park spend on the pitches or in the rental accommodation. The pitches for holidaymakers, permanent pitches and rental accommodation are spread around the bathing lake. Among the pitches, campers can choose between the Standard, Comfort and Comfort by the water categories as well as a pitch on the "Back to nature" camping meadow. Depending on the pitch booked, electric hook-up, fresh water supply, power connection and grey water disposal are available directly on the pitch or for shared use at the supply and disposal stations. Every camper will find a suitable pitch at the Wilsumer Berge Resort, from a motorhome pitch by the lake with plenty of comfort to a camping pitch in the meadow close to nature, everything is possible. Those travelling without their own camping vehicle will find a lovely temporary home in the bookable accommodation. Cottages, huts, safari tents and houses with different facilities and space for up to 10 people are available. The sanitary facilities are equipped with spacious showers, including children's showers and special sanitary cabins for families. Dogs are also welcome on the site. Catering is provided at the Wilsum beach club. Here you can enjoy lunch and dinner with a view of the lake. The takeaway pizza is also popular, which campers can then enjoy in front of their motorhome or at their favourite spot on the site. A camping shop for daily needs and a snack bar round off the catering options at the Wilsumer Berge Resort.
There are plenty of activities and excursions on and around the Wilsumer Berge Resort campsite. The region is a holiday area with many opportunities for leisure activities. Sporty guests can burn off energy playing football, volleyball, tennis, basketball, archery or in the recreational lake. The campsite's own bike hire service makes it easy to discover the surrounding area on your own. The heathland, forests and valleys around Bad Bentheim are delightful destinations for a bike tour. For history buffs and archaeology fans, a visit to the Bronze Age farm in Uelsen is a great experience. All campers will find relaxation in Lower Saxony's nature on the beautiful hiking trails and walking routes. A hike to the Schoneveld watermill in Wilsum, which probably dates back to the 13th century and is idyllically situated by the mill pond with its miller's house, is particularly interesting. Excursions to nearby Bad Bentheim Castle, the German border town of Nordhorn or day trips to Hanover and Lüneburg are also worthwhile. The neighbouring Netherlands with its pretty towns and villages such as Schöneveld, Ootmarsum and Delden is also worth a visit. The Dutch border is just 15 minutes away by car.
