Whitehill Country Park

Catastrophe. Booking via the website was not possible, we were referred to email booking or telephone. Sent 2 email booking requests, no reaction, then tried another 3 times by phone asking for a callback regarding the booking on their voicemail. Here too, no reaction, no callback. Therefore booked at another campsite about 1 km away. When we were on site and viewed the campsite, there were still about 40% of spots free!! When inquiring at the reception why our 5 requests had not been processed, we were met with relatively unfriendly responses and no justification for this behavior. This kind of thing did not happen to us anywhere else during our 3-week trip to Southern England. This behavior is a NO GO. !! We had to indicate 1 day as a stay (necessary to indicate), because otherwise no assessment would have been possible. However, we were not there, because no booking was successful!!

Very uncomplicated check-in and check-out. Incredibly beautiful, slightly hilly area with English grass and trees. Most of the pitches are rather sloped, so equipment for leveling motorhomes and trailers is absolutely necessary. The sanitary facilities are numerous and well-maintained, and always very clean. There is more than enough provided for the children, with adventure playgrounds scattered throughout the site. The pool and splash pool have been recently renovated, and a lifeguard is present almost all day long. The kiosk can almost be described as a mini-supermarket, offering virtually everything necessary for daily life. The shop is also very well stocked regarding camping items and has very fair prices overall. Overall, a great site, very quiet but centrally located, and especially recommended for families with children.
