Wesercamping Hemeln

The motto of the headline is program. The hosts were true to their self-chosen motto, very relaxed and exceptionally friendly. The camping site management and catering were, during my stay, in the hands of 2 women who took care of everything. The infrastructure is rather old but clean, and everything worked. The catering was good and well attended. Not only campers come here to eat. I regretted having to leave after just 4 nights. I am currently considering parking my caravan there for the rest of the season. Those expecting German pedantry and order are in the wrong place. There is no barrier. Everyone is responsible for adhering to the quiet hours (this applies to all campsite rules). No one walks around checking constantly. I thank the team of the "Stress-Free Zone"!

The campsite is small and located right by the Weser River. At night it is completely quiet and relaxing. Those were the positive points. The sanitary facilities are really outdated. Old is okay, but it shouldn't be unclean. Hand soap and paper towels were not available or were not refilled. Washing up in the kitchen could only be done with cold water. Such things shouldn't exist in today's time. However, the area of the Weserbergland makes up for a lot.

Everything looks very messy, the sanitary facilities have also aged (shower still with curtain) but were cleaned. However, the sanitary house was not heated despite sub-zero temperatures, and there was no hot water in the wash hut.

Small, simple, and very relaxing. Camping, not glamping! Nice operators and the best pizza in the world!

Too bad about the beautiful site..........the campsite is unkempt, it has seen better days. The operators have no interest, they prefer to drink beer..........sanitary facilities were not cleaned. The pizza was forgettable. Noisy disturbances during the night from Friday to Saturday.

Beautiful, peacefully located area, with direct access to the Weser, slipway available, perfect for canoeists. The pizzeria has great food (due to COVID-19, not everything can be offered). The operators are super nice and there are various activities offered (bands playing for the campers, etc.). There are animals (donkeys, horses, sheep, chickens). Therefore, dogs are allowed. I can recommend this place for those seeking tranquility.

We were with 2 families at the Wesercamping campsite in Hemeln and were welcomed very kindly. Free choice of pitch in the meadow by the Weser. The campsite is great for kids with a nice playground, and the operator takes the kids on free tractor rides. The homemade pizza in the restaurant is just as great as the fresh schnitzels. We will definitely come back!!!

We were here for an extended weekend. The site has a small swimming pool, a gastronomy (not tested), and bread roll service. Comprehensive information material about the region is available. Only the shower tokens are a bit outdated now. Great location right by the Weser and it's not far to Holzminden. Both by car and on the bike paths.
