About
In the north of Spain, the family-friendly wecamp Pirineos is ideal for an active holiday close to nature in the Aragonese Pyrenees. The campsite with restaurant, bungalows and a meadow area for motorhomes and caravans covered in deciduous trees is located in the middle of an impressive mountain landscape at the foot of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. Dense beech and pine forests, thundering waterfalls and, last but not least, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Monte Perdido mountain are perfect for hiking and trekking tours. The Sierra y Cañones de Guara Nature Park to the south-west of Boltaña also offers unique landscapes, ideal for caving, rafting and canyoning. The activity programme doesn't stop at the campsite, which has a stream running through it. There is a pool area with a children's pool, fitness classes and padel tennis.

At the year-round open site, we stopped for three days at the end of May during a tour of Spain and were very satisfied. We reached it very easily via the well-developed N-260. Very friendly reception. The sanitary facilities are quite appealingly designed. We liked the outdoor swimming pool with a large sunbathing area and the beautiful view of the mountains. The restaurant had already opened – but we did not try it. We found the Wi-Fi only available at the reception/restaurant in an otherwise well-equipped site somewhat outdated. For those who find multi-hour mountain hikes too strenuous: The roads between Escalona and Sarvise (a round tour from the site of about 100 km in total) provide a good impression of the mountain world of the Ordesa National Park and are easily accessible by car.
