Waldesruh Camping CMA

We were two people from May 9 to May 15, 2024, with our motorhome at the pitch area. Electricity cost 0.65 euros per kWH and had to be paid with coins at the column. Even though the place was well-occupied, we (early risers) had no problems in the small sanitary area. Cleanliness was always provided. Showers cost 1 euro, and the number of shower sessions is paid at departure. The service in the kiosk is sometimes a bit chaotic. The processes could be improved. For children, there is a large playground (few devices - lots of sand) and a bouncy castle available. The kiosk was not open, but there was a bread roll service.

So we were guests at this place from May 9th to 12th, 2024. The place is very beautiful and quiet, and from there, you can also make nice hikes and bike tours. We felt very comfortable. Price/performance is very good. But there is still a lot to do and improve; in our opinion, a lot of it is unprofessional and therefore a bit chaotic. Whether it was during registration (which took a very long time), or when reserving a table for the restaurant (they wrote down the wrong day for us, for example). There are 2 times when you can go to eat: 5 PM or 7 PM!!! Which is okay in principle. But behind the counter, it already began to seem that the two service staff were doing this for the first time. (My wife and I have been in the gastro service for a long time). Then the waiting time for our schnitzel!!! Waiting 90 minutes for a schnitzel is.

I cannot relate to the review from May 2023. We were also at the site on Father's Day anyway. The sanitary facilities were and are clean. The toilet building has been freshly painted, and there was a catering service on-site for Father's Day. One would be foolish to think badly of the review now. Waldesruh is a beautiful campground with clean sanitary facilities and very friendly operators.

We were a family of four staying with our roof tent over Pentecost. Even though the site was fully booked and there were larger groups present, we did not feel crowded or disturbed by each other. The owners have a nice concept for distributing their guests around the site. The playground is generously designed as a sandy area and currently offers a climbing frame and plenty of space for digging and playing ball. The highlight for our children was the on-site bouncy castle. The sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained.

We were able to experience the opening of the campsite. Supported by several social community groups and the ideas of the owners, who are campers themselves, the site has implemented many points that we can now, after having experienced some sites that have also changed owners, assess very well. The pitches for campers and their facilities are unmatched at campsites. Ideally equipped with service stations at the entrance/exit as well as power columns at each pitch, we have not seen anything like it anywhere else. The pitches, partly gravel and partly grass, are excellently designed. For caravan campers, there is a large grassy area with intermittent service points for electricity, fresh water, and gray water. The bathrooms are modern and newly designed. There is a wash house, a kiosk, and a restaurant. So far the most beautiful concept from new and brave operators that we have had the pleasure of encountering. Keep it up. :-)
