I cannot understand the bad reviews. The sanitary facilities were clean at the time of our stay and were cleaned daily. The wifi also worked.

Beautifully located by the Tegernsee. Otherwise nothing. Verbally very aggressive reception lady, who doesn’t let you finish speaking and thinks she can command people around on a parental level! Disgusting behavior.

We have been to the campsite several times in the past few years for a few days and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, we can no longer recommend the place since this year. The sanitary facilities were unbelievably dirty, making them practically unusable. In the three days, there was not even noticeable cleaning done. Such a pity, given the beautiful location.

The site is about a 15-minute walk from Lake Tegernsee. There are a few nicer spots, but they fill up quickly. After that, caravans are placed on the camping field without any discernible order. This results in large ruts and a lack of planning when parking/departing. Staff is only there to connect electricity and otherwise seems slightly overwhelmed. Payment is supposed to be in cash only, although cards are supposedly accepted. Sanitary facilities are aging and not always clean.

A very outdated campsite. The sanitary facilities are very dirty and poorly maintained. We had to search for our own parcel. The electrical connection was far away. We were there in November and the ground was muddy. Deep tire tracks on the lawn were not leveled, even though the site manager was driving around the area with a loader the whole time. This created tripping hazards at night. The site is unloved and unfortunately has a monopoly position in the area. We will not return to this site.

A campsite that, while nicely located in terms of the surroundings, is by our opinion absolutely not recommended. Firstly, we received no feedback on our reservation request via email, and no one was reachable by phone either. Nevertheless, we tried it spontaneously and were allocated a spot for our camper van. A more or less improvised pitch in front of the sanitary facilities and next to the very untidy waste depot and compost, for which we ultimately had to pay a completely overpriced, nearly outrageous price. The sanitary facilities were acceptable, but in outdated and partly dilapidated condition. Overall, the entire site gives an unkempt and urgently needs renovation impression. The service also left something to be desired. The staff appeared disorganized and one always had to expect waiting times. All in all, we can say: 'Once and never again!'

First, the advantages: The campsite is very beautiful and quiet, located at the foot of Ringberg. The bus stop is directly at the campsite (as the crow flies 50m) and there is an Aldi market right next to the site. The shower cabins are well thought out. There is a second door between the shower and changing room. This keeps everything dry. Additionally, there are extra hooks and a shelf... you often don't find that in more expensive sites with more stars! Now, the unfortunately very numerous disadvantages: We had made a reservation and received confirmation that a nice spot would be reserved for us. When we arrived, we had to wait a very long time for the site manager. There is very little staff available (we only saw 2 people). Since we are only traveling with a van, we do not need a large space, just electricity. When we asked how long our cable is, we hit the first problem - 25m is just very tight. The site manager told us we should look around and pick a spot, we could stand anywhere. At first, we were excited, such an offer doesn’t come often. But after a short overview, we understood why we had that choice. It was about us having to choose the least bad option and the site manager not wanting to take responsibility for it. The caravans, camper vans, and tents are standing haphazardly in the areas. Not just we were irritated. Several newcomers we saw had similar problems. After searching for a while, we actually found an electric box (there aren’t that many and you have to go over other campers to follow the cables). Some stands so close together that there isn’t even a meter of space to pass between the individual campers. Our power cable was plugged in, and that was it. When we wanted to go to the toilet, we had to search for toilet paper. Dirty toilets, no paper... not very inviting. There are no water connections in the whole area - only at the sanitary facilities. A new disposal station was advertised on the internet. Unfortunately, it is completely useless for a van. The small hatch in the middle of the field (about 40x35cm) is shielded by the two signs in such a way that you cannot drive over it with your van. So we couldn’t empty our waste water tank. Corona is a challenge for the campsites. I don’t think it is necessary to plaster over, for example, urinals. Generally, one is capable of estimating or maintaining distance. But to only indicate that one has to bring their own disinfectant and should use the sanitary facilities only if they cannot use their own is quite harsh. Why do I then go to a campsite and don’t camp wild... ? After we requested guest cards via email, because no one could be reached by phone and the voicemail was full, we could collect and use them. All in all, the conditions are quite good to offer a not very new but slick and charming campsite. Unfortunately, this is not utilized at all. Rather, you get the impression that they want to extract as much as possible without further investing. Therefore, we unfortunately cannot recommend the site. A camper van site offers more...

The Wallberg campsite is idyllically situated in the Tegernsee valley. Families with children enjoy the children's playground and the swimming opportunities by the lake, while couples and dog owners love hiking in the mountains. Camping with dogs is of course permitted. In the cold season, the campsite is very popular with winter sports enthusiasts.
The Wallberg campsite attracts holidaymakers in both winter and summer. Situated in the middle of the Bavarian mountains, the 3.5-hectare site impresses with its pitches on green meadows. There is a small shop on site for self-catering holidaymakers. The "Rainerstüberl" serves Bavarian specialities in a rustic, cosy atmosphere. The nearby towns of Bad Wiessee, Rottach Egern and the spa town of Kreuth are also ideal starting points. The leisure activities on offer around the Wallberg campsite are unique: Lake Tegernsee is ideal for rowing, sailing, swimming and surfing. Hikers, climbers and skiers conquer the mountains. For those who prefer a more comfortable ride, take the Wallberg cable car, which takes you safely up to just below the summit. There are also golf courses, tennis courts and a small aerodrome in the immediate vicinity.
The Wallberg campsite in Bavaria, the only campsite on Lake Tegernsee, has a rural, relaxed atmosphere. The rather rustic site is quite manageable and quiet. It offers around 250 pitches, some of which are for permanent campers. Surrounded by beautiful nature, families with children who like to spend a lot of time in the fresh air feel particularly at home here.
