Waldcamping (Gisingen)

The place name is confusing. Well-maintained green space with a very sparse tree population, so not "forest." Timely and very friendly response to my email inquiry (anyone arriving during the off-season outside of reception hours should definitely make contact beforehand). Outdoor pool: When it's busy, one has to put up with the booming bass of today's unavoidable loud music (but it's quiet at night). Everything a camper needs is there. The sanitary facilities are not exactly futuristic, but everything is present, functional, and clean. We found the visit to the Schattenburg Museum in Feldkirch very worthwhile. Conclusion: We were completely satisfied.

Beautiful location in the greenery. During the day, there's a lot of noise from the adjacent outdoor pool. In the evening, it is quiet. Sanitary facilities are modest. The men's area has only three showers, three toilets, and four urinals. Several sinks, but no sinks in the stalls. Toilets have toilet seats and disinfectant, showers have proper fittings, no push buttons with auto-stop or even coin operation. Despite its age, everything feels very well-maintained and clean. The campsite also offers spaces for large motorhomes. Ideal starting point for cycling tours through Vorarlberg, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland. Very good network of bike paths. The campsite also provides widespread real free Wi-Fi through the Feldkirch municipal utilities. When arriving with GPS, be careful not to be directed through the settlement. This isn’t pleasant when arriving on weekends with a full outdoor pool and street parkers. And in high season, definitely call ahead! I paid a fair €62 for three nights, one person, with electricity. Very, very friendly staff. And I will return.

Regarding the campsite. The owner was quickly reachable even with the reception already closed and could help further. The site overall appears clean and tidy. The sanitary facilities were absolutely fine. A football field is adjacent, but there is peace there around 10:00 PM.

Beautiful among some trees. Close to Feldkirch and shopping options as well as restaurants in the town. Great with a swimming area next door with free waterslides. Also free bus tickets to the center of Feldkirch. Shower facilities are old, somewhat dirty, and small. Few showers. Friendly reception. Helpful.
