About
As part of a nature conservation project involving a change to the course of the river, dredging work is currently being carried out in the western part of the lake. As a result, the water level is currently low and there is noise from the ongoing work.
Vestbirk Camping is situated in a picturesque landscape south of Lake Sirkeborg in Østbirk, surrounded by the waters of the River Gudenå. In the middle of this beautiful natural region, the campsite offers many activities and is an ideal place for families with children. The large open space invites you to stroll around the site and along the lakeshore in Østbirk. If you bring a fishing rod, shake it here to see if you can catch a fish for dinner. The little ones can have fun in the swimming pool, on the water slide and in the well-equipped playground. Other sporting activities include the football pitch, basketball court and mini golf course. Guests can also pet horses and goats and watch deer in the zoo.
Children have a lot of fun on this site, located between two lakes, interacting with the animals, for example on the goat petting area. In addition, you can see house rabbits hopping around the area, and there is a large fallow deer enclosure at the edge.

This is a very beautifully located campsite with very friendly operators. We stayed there for two nights during the off-season. We had a very nice spot right by the wildlife enclosure and spent two wonderful days there. If we are in the area again, we would be happy to return.

A great, not too large campsite. Despite arriving late, we were checked in by the owner. In the morning, we were pleasantly surprised to find a wildlife enclosure with deer right behind our motorhome. Walking in the adjacent forest was also very nice. We only stayed one night because we were on our way home. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
