Construction noise starting at 7:00 AM. It would be good if such things were mentioned. The construction work is expected to last a few more years. Noise every day, first comes the lawnmower, the next day the tractor for trimming the hedges, and then the staff with the brushcutter. 5 stars seem incomprehensible to me, there is a very modern and comfortable washhouse on the campsite, but the other four are outdated. The site is not acceptable for the high price. The inspection of the star rating should look at everything and not just the beautiful corners.

We really like the place. There are many great offers - even some that one does not expect during the summer holidays. For example, a dino show was offered in the event hall. The parking spaces are quite tight, and with several buses parked side by side, it will be difficult to park in and out. The road layout has many blind curves, so kids should only ride there under limited circumstances. There were some dangerous situations. We honestly underestimated the distance to the beach. We recommend using a bike or car. Our boys like to play soccer. There is only a rather small field. There were often very many children there. As a result, our kids often lost interest. The pitches were also a bit tight - especially with the private facilities. We had a smaller car and managed to fit into the gap; otherwise, our neighbors would have had to extend. The swimming pool is really great. Many super slides. The kids and we were thrilled. The sanitary facilities are cleaned constantly.

We have been going to this campsite for over 20 years, the prices are rising yearly, but unfortunately, nothing is being invested. The washhouses are still at the standard of the 80s. Even the toilet seats have not been changed. They see the classic camper more as an obstacle, as they prefer to rent out the chalets or bungalows for over 1000€ a week. At the chip shop at the campsite, they want 3.05€ for a 0.33l can of cola, while the supermarket (Spar), which is also at the campsite, charges 0.89 cents for it. The two places are 20m apart in a straight line. That is quite remarkable. If there are any deficiencies in the site or facilities, you can report it to the reception or talk to a wall. It's the same outcome. Apparently, they are content here and are trying to turn the island into a Dutch Sylt. It's a shame really, because the site and place have a lot of potential, but only taking and not giving will not work in the long run.

We had a plus pitch with our own little shower room, which has been visually improved a bit in recent years. The facilities are adequate, but currently closed due to the Corona pandemic. Basically, the management makes an effort to keep many things open and, for example, offer food through takeout. In summary: we have been here often many years ago, but we will come back.

Unfortunately Getting worse We have been coming to this campsite for years, but we unfortunately have to note that nothing is being done about the campsite infrastructure. The whole place has nothing to do with an alleged 4 or 5-star campsite. When it rains, the paths are so flooded that you can't get to the washhouse without rubber boots due to the many holes everywhere. The comfort pitches are now also saturated with holes. Despite information from the reservation, nothing has been done for years. The washhouse also urgently needs renovation; some doors don't close, there are power outages in between because the fuses blow, etc. The fact for us is that we have been there at least 1-2 times a year, but the price/performance ratio is no longer acceptable, the newer swimming pool also does not help to overlook the deficiencies of the campsite.

Spent 2 weeks with 2 boys (6 and 9 years) at the campsite. The site is beautiful and not too large. Many offerings for children. The toilets and showers are a bit outdated and were not always quite clean despite constant cleaning by the staff. Pool with slides is good. You have to ride about 15 minutes to the beach by bike.

We found the campsite okay. We had a spot with a private bathroom. The floor was completely dirty upon takeover and had to be cleaned first. The shower drain was clogged and couldn't be used for three days. Only after the third complaint was the issue resolved. The center of the site is well designed. The playground in the center could use a bit more charm here and there. Many entertainment options had to be paid for separately. The supermarket is very expensive, with a surcharge of 30 percent on many groceries. We always drove to the Spar supermarket in de Cocksdorp, which is reachable by bike within 5 minutes. Most staff were very friendly, always with a smile, except for one lady at the reception. The swimming pool is great. Our 3, 7, and 10-year-olds had a lot of fun and it was a daily must-do. The swimming pool was included in the price. Activities like climbing, mini-golf, and the expensive arcade had to be paid for separately. Unfortunately, there is no refund for climbing, even if the child didn't step a foot in the high ropes course, just participated in the briefing. Some goodwill would have been nice here. The kids felt totally at home, so we might consider visiting the campsite again. The proximity to the beach is great, quickly reachable by bike. However, it is not so exposed to the weather at the sea. We didn't have much luck with the weather, but the campsite can't be blamed for that.
