Vakantiepark De Bergen

Great park with many opportunities for children, but the gastronomy and especially the service are poor. Six or seven staff members are just standing at the counter chatting with each other, waiting for orders via QR code, with no table service.

A well-maintained campsite with plenty of space. We booked a 125m2 plot with lots of space in front of the caravan. Checking in was no problem thanks to license plate recognition. The reception is very nice and works solution-oriented. A self-service supermarket is available. The washroom is in good condition. Unfortunately, we were hit by a lot of rain, so we didn't go swimming in the lake. During a dry spell, we were at the large playground, where there is really something for every child to play with.

For us, the campsite was not really suitable (2 families with teenagers) - The place is huge - many people/kids - a lot of car traffic - Pitch is only separated from a street with quite a bit of traffic by a hedge, therefore also loud at night (woodpecker) - confusing - long distances - many offers in the adventure park not or only available at certain times - all sports fields quite far away - everything is complicated (key for boats has to be picked up at the mini golf, which was closed, etc.) - wash house far away and crowded, due to too few showers - we don't need animation, too much commotion for our taste + Lake was quite nice + Offers and prices in the supermarket + Quiet hours were observed + We had a nice cycling tour

We have been going with the entire family (from toddlers to grandparents) to the Vakantiepark De Bergen for decades and will continue to do so for the next few years. The site is spacious, varied, and well-maintained. There is something for everyone: quiet corners, a lake with a beach, fields for playing football, a huge playground, a bit of animation... We have nothing to complain about and look forward to the extended weekend in Wanroij every year. Unfortunately, the staff at the reception does not really speak good English or German, but we get by and any problems are resolved promptly :-)
