We were at the campsite for a week in August this year. We had booked a pitch by the water. We had received the booking confirmation. When we arrived, the lady, who incidentally was not exactly friendly, could not find our booking and offered us an alternative pitch. However, this was not by the water. The next day we went back to reception and inquired, then the lady could no longer speak German. After I told my husband that we were going home and would have the whole thing checked legally, she could speak German again and offered us a pitch by the water. There it is. Regarding the sanitary facilities, I can only say that they are below any standard. I thought it was almost Halloween, with so many cobwebs hanging around. Dirty to the extreme.

What was a dream of a campsite has turned into a disastrous, completely overwhelmed, and uncoordinated chain campsite within a year. Lies are told about the 'permanent campers' at the expense of the normal campers. The place belongs to them, and there is no chance to defend oneself; otherwise, they threaten eviction without a refund. Completely overwhelmed by how the caravans need to be aligned. They don't know their own rules and make things up that aren't written anywhere. It's a shame that from an outstanding place with a wonderful owner couple, it has deteriorated into Capfun horror within a year. It's also funny that they still advertise with a certain pet-friendliness. Last year, at 4 of the 5 beaches within the campsite, dogs on leashes were allowed, this year only at the public dog beach outside the campsite.

Ideal for dogs, I can only agree with the others. Beautifully spacious campsite. The place is very clean. Especially great is of course that dog owners are not only welcome here, but that the site is specifically designed for dog owners. The dog beach is simply fantastic. No matter if you have your dog on a leash like we do or if you can/want to let it run free. The price-performance ratio is also very good, especially when you notice that water, shower tokens, and even electricity are included. The receptionists, staff, and cleaning personnel were super nice, attentive, and always helpful. The sanitary facilities could be better. We are really not demanding, but they could use a refresh. However, that wouldn’t stop me from booking this campsite again.

Since my last summer stay, I can only advise everyone against vacationing there. The location is excellent, but everything else is unacceptable. I can only fully agree with the latest reviews.

Unfortunately, it is no longer what it used to be. It seems to be due to the takeover by a large chain. Overpriced for hardly any or very little service. Dirty toilets and showers seem to be the standard here. During my stay, I saw the cleaning staff, but I never noticed a difference in cleanliness. The same dirt greets you every day. Complaints were received, but nothing has changed. The mini-golf course is a joke and hasn't been maintained for years. So much money for a place where the orientation of the stands is prescribed, outdated and dirty washrooms are present, and otherwise (at least for adults) nothing is offered is quite cheeky. For me/us, the place is done. Apparently for many others as well, whom I met there.

Before the Capfun chain bought the site, it was great - but that has completely changed now. The site is still really great for dogs, but for the owners it is partly a trial. On one hand, when booking you could no longer select spots, only add notes. A response or booking confirmation with the site number never came. Also, fundamentally there was no communication with the booked parties. Only payment requests came promptly. Furthermore, it was not communicated that a large fence with a gas tank stands at our site, which severely restricts comfort and visibility. To make matters worse, they required us to stand behind the fence lengthwise, making unrestricted use of the caravan impossible. This could, however, be clarified after some discussion. But it gets worse... During check-in, I was given the wrong barrier card after asking twice, so I actually had to pay a €5 parking fee when entering with the car after the reception's closing hours, which will not be refunded. Additionally, on the first evening, the electricity was not activated for us. Only after dialing the emergency number of the campsite could help be provided. Then we received the wrong shower tokens for a washroom 500 meters away, while "our" shower house was just 25 meters away. The crowning achievement of all this is the extremely dirty toilets and showers. When asked, we were told that these are cleaned three times daily. However, it was demonstrably not done for at least 3-4 consecutive days. The cleaning crew drives up, signs the cleaning sheet, and sits comfortably next to the washhouse doing nothing until they leave. We could observe this multiple times. It wasn't until the arrival for the extended weekends that they cleaned thoroughly. Moreover, the trash cans were emptied three days ago, but no new ones were provided. Now one has to walk 700 meters across the site to dispose of waste. The worst part was that I had to prove when I booked the site when I was suddenly and roughly awakened by an employee because a new camper was already standing at my spot. Double bookings seem to be common now. But to be ripped out of a deep sleep and then asked to show confirmation that I had booked the spot longer is the last straw for me! Never, ever again this campsite. Thanks for nothing! I will leave the shower stall, which was already broken last year, uncommented... P.S. On the last day, the cleaning crew came to the washhouse and preferred to clean their golf carts instead of the building. A disgrace for any campsite!

We were there for a long weekend and found it quite okay. It's great for dogs, I can only agree with the previous speakers. Children also have their share of fun. The site is straightforward and there are playgrounds at every corner. The organization at the reception was somewhat chaotic, but well, it happens. The supermarket is simple and very expensive. The sanitary facilities were a disappointment. Although basically clean, they are very basic/outdated. There is no way to dry your hands, no soap. To get in, you need a card. If mom is inside showering and daughter urgently needs to go, that's already a problem. All in all okay, but probably not the first choice for further visits. PS A mobile home was €50 cheaper for 3 people than a motorhome pitch for three people. I find that very strange.

Beautiful expansive campsite. The place is very clean. Particularly great is that dog owners are not only welcome here, but the site is especially designed for dog owners. The dog beach is simply fantastic. I don't know any campsite that has such a great beach just for dogs. Price-performance ratio is also good. However, there is one star deduction: 1. The campsite operators, especially at the reception, are not very accommodating; complaints or comments are simply dismissed. 2. The sanitary facilities could be better. We are really not demanding, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially in the area at the end where the dog beach is; unfortunately, the sanitary building there is very poor.

Located directly on the longest beach in the Dutch province of Flevoland, Vakantiepark Capfun Erkemederstrand is an Eldorado for bathers. Pet owners can splash around with their four-legged friends on the campsite's own dog beach. The extensive leisure facilities for families include a large playground, trampolines, a mini-golf course and the popular petting zoo. Water sports enthusiasts can use the campsite's own marina with space for up to 212 boats.
Vakantiepark Capfun Erkemederstrand is surrounded by fertile polder soil and located directly on a side arm of the Markermeer. A picturesque canal separates the 32 hectares of flat grassland. Among the 250 pitches equipped with electricity, some are located directly on the water. Those looking for peace and quiet prefer the pitches behind the dyke. There is also a separate area for pet owners, which is located near a fenced-in dog exercise area. Four-legged friends also have the opportunity to run around on the campsite's long dog beach. Other amenities at the pet-friendly Vakantiepark Capfun Erkemederstrand include a dog shower and bar. Guests can buy dog food, groceries and many other goods at the Recra supermarket. Every Saturday during the high season, a fishmonger supplies holidaymakers with fresh seafood. At 3 kilometres long, the longest beach in the province of Flevoland, families can splash around on the sandy coast of the Nuldernauw. The well-maintained playgrounds and sports fields attract those looking for exercise. There is also a play forest, a mini-golf course and trampolines. The petting zoo brings a sparkle to the eyes of animal lovers. Vakantiepark Capfun Erkemederstrand is a popular meeting place for sailors. The campsite's own marina can accommodate up to 212 boats. Hobby captains can sail directly from the marina into the Veluwemeer or via a lock into the Gooi- or IJmeer. You can also hire pedal boats at the campsite.
As in the rest of Holland, Flevoland has a well-developed network of cycle paths. Thanks to the practical junction system, active travellers can put together their own route. The tour through the Stille Kern nature reserve is around 40 kilometres long and boasts an almost untouched landscape. The Horsterwold is also ideal for cycling and long walks. Numerous paths run through the largest deciduous forest in Niederlange. With a bit of luck, hikers may even encounter wild horses on their tours. Active people can get to know the natural area in a very special way on a canoe trip. One excursion tip for families is the Harderbos nature reserve, which offers a 5-kilometre adventure trail. Fun is guaranteed at exciting stations such as a wobbly bridge and on the observation tower.
