Trolltunga Camping

The appearance of the campsite is not so bad in itself. BUT! The sanitary facilities are completely unusable. In June 2026, two toilets were closed due to defects. The cleanliness left much to be desired. The owner seems not to care about it. When we brought it up on-site, he just shrugged his shoulders. We had booked and paid for three nights in advance, but left after one night. Now I understand why he insisted on upfront payment.

The campsite is beautifully laid out, the pitches are parcelled, and there is a nice view of the lake. The sanitary facilities are far from adequate and are not well maintained.

Way too crowded, sanitary facilities not designed for it. In the evenings you have to queue to rinse and wash. Other guests took our laundry out of the dryer before it was done. Only one dryer is functional. Nice location by the lake, but if you’re not by the lake, you’re right next to a road that, while not heavily trafficked, is still audible. Staff is at least friendly. So far our worst camping experience in Norway. Additionally, completely overpriced.

The campsite has a good location right by a lake. Apart from that, unfortunately, almost all other categories leave much to be desired. The site was too expensive, too crowded, the pitches too narrow, and there were too few sanitary facilities for far too many guests. No functioning washing machines and dryers.

Site and reception all okay. Unfortunately, I do not understand how the ADAC sanitary team gives a 3.5 for such a large site with far too few toilets and showers, and for the price of 1 night's stay of 55.00 euro you also have to pay 20 crowns for the showers, too bad, the site is otherwise nice.

Beautifully located meadow pitch with gravel bed for parking motorhomes! Unfortunately, at 400 NOK including electricity, not quite cheap, especially since the sanitary facilities were very unkempt and dirty. Since many campers left around 5:00 AM, it was also quite loud.

In itself, the place is beautiful and quiet, but unfortunately totally overcrowded. The sanitary facilities are far too few.

The campsite is located directly by a lake not far from the Hardangerfjord. The site would actually be small and manageable. Unfortunately, it is completely overcrowded by the operators, making it resemble more a festival site or a crowded parking lot in the evenings. The sanitary facilities, washing areas, etc. are also not designed for these "masses." For this reason, unfortunately only three stars.
