Very nice campsite in Loen. The rented cabin is functionally furnished with space for up to four people. There is also a small kitchenette with two cooking plates, sink, cupboard, and refrigerator. Unfortunately, there is only cold water available. The campsite is located about 5 minutes (on foot) outside of Loen towards Lodalen. Thus, it is quite peaceful and not on the busy R60. The sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained, as is the entire campsite. The operators are very friendly and helpful. Loen is an excellent starting point for an active vacation. Tours to two offshoots of the Justedalsbreen glacier, to Skålatårnet, a Via Ferrata to Hovden, and back down with one of the steepest gondolas are possibilities in the immediate area. Additionally, there are short trips to Stryn (good shopping options) or drives across Strynefjellet to Dalsnibba or to the Geirangerfjord. Fishers will also find what they are looking for.
