There is direct access to the water from the unspoilt site with its meadow pitches. The lake in the north of Erfurt is the largest lake in the Thuringian city and a popular local recreation destination for summer swimming fun and water sports such as surfing and sailing. It is only 10 kilometres from the campsite to Erfurt's old town. ThürKies-See-Camping has a beach bar with seating on the terrace. The campsite offers the sale of fishing licences.

Simple place with a lot of potential. Showers only with cold water. Simple toilets and showers in the container, at the entrance, with poor ventilation. Water/wastewater only at the entrance, nowhere else on the site. The pitches in the middle of the site are totally uneven. Only one entrance/exit.

We were at the campsite with our rooftop tent and our dogs. Apart from the fact that not all dog owners adhered to the leash requirement, it is a very nice campsite. The toilets and showers are also great. Would love to come back.
