Thermalcamping (Füzesgyarmat)

What a pity, otherwise it would be a great place.

We have been coming here for years. The staff is always friendly. Whoever expects that German is spoken everywhere must stay in Germany! The sanitary facilities are cleaned daily and thermal water is not colorless, all pools are cleaned and freshly filled daily. We feel well taken care of here, as do the many regular guests who come regularly! Klaus and Roswitha Zimmermann from Suhl

The campsite is located on the outskirts of the village and makes quite a decent first impression upon entry. The area is level, the grass is mowed, divided by small bushes, and the electrical connections and water supply columns are relatively new. Upon arrival, we were informed by unkempt staff that the German-speaking employee was unavailable and would only arrive tomorrow. The available staff spoke only Hungarian. The thermal bath itself was well represented on the homepage. Therefore, we personally found it shabby when we actually had a look. Once built, it seems they probably didn’t bother much with the ambiance anymore! Although the cleaning lady was visible, it didn't leave us with a hygienic impression; overall, we found it uninviting. The bath comprises a chlorinated swimming pool, a sports pool, a children’s pool, and the green-brown thermal basins. We did not see a lifeguard or any other responsible person, even after multiple passes. There was shouting from the bath area late into the night, and there was no inviting restaurant. For us, the campsite is no longer an option; we wonder how this place earned its 3 1/2 stars! The only good thing was the flat, clean parking space!
