The spot in the dunes is dreamy. Unfortunately, I only got a pitch behind the reception. However, there were building materials there. Pallets, excavators, and other building materials. The excavators were, of course, moved, creating an accompanying noise level. I had the choice of looking at a slope or watching the construction workers. Neither provided a vacation feeling. Although I had paid around 350 euros for a week, I left the pitch after one day. And I will never come back.

Already for the cheapest category, a small uneven sand spot for a small dome tent, without electricity and water, you pay almost 40€ per night in July/August, in 2025 and even more in 2026 it will be even more... Price lists are available. Then it easily goes above 40€, with a dog or child significantly more. This is hardly bearable, especially for young people who want to go to the sea with a tent. Holiday apartments are no longer price attractive.

Super beautiful place! The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day and very thoroughly. I really enjoyed the good week. Because the camping spots are located in the dunes, there is a lot of privacy. The staff at the reception was very nice, friendly, and helpful. The tractor driver was very patient😄 It was my first time at Kogerstrand, but definitely not the last!

We are here for the second time in a row now. We like it very much. The large toilets/shower buildings are cleaned every afternoon. The showers and toilets are perfectly fine. The small washing cubicles provide reasonable privacy. The water is nice and hot! There are dishwashing machines available for free use. However, campers should rinse their dishes properly so that one does not have to wash off the dirt of the previous users. For children, there are several small and one large playground spread across the grounds. In bad weather, there is an indoor play area that belongs to the campsite. Even though there is no kiosk, the town center of De Koog is only a few(!) minutes' walk away. There you will find a Lidl, a Jumbo, many restaurants, and a shop for camping supplies. Overall, we are very satisfied and will definitely come back here often!

Great spots depending on reserved size and large distances to neighbors. Sanitary facilities are regularly cleaned and in the northern part with some new buildings. Unfortunately, there is no kiosk on site. Placement assistance with a tractor for caravans. Cars must be parked outside the parking space after arrival.

The paths from the rear sites to the reception with parking or to the supermarket in De Koog are quite far, but camping in the middle of the dunes compensates for it.

For 50 years, I've been drawn back here time and again. No pool, no indoor swimming pool, cumbersome utilities, and yet it’s my favorite spot. Anyone who has been here knows what I mean and what makes this very special and unique atmosphere of the place and the island.

We were there for the first time at the end of October 2021. We were excited about our spot and the entire site as well as the bathroom house. Everything was super clean with music and underfloor heating in the showers. Unfortunately, the water pressure was a bit low, but otherwise 👌🏻 For those who want a bit more privacy, this is a great place. Unfortunately, the restaurant has been closed due to Corona, but in the village, there is something for every taste.
