Perfect campsite for families with children

We stayed as a family with children at the Terraces Campsite and felt comfortable from the very first moment. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature and offering a wonderful view that was also very relaxing for us parents. The site is ideal for children: plenty of space to play, a safe and calm atmosphere, and a great swimming pool that our kids particularly enjoyed. We also found the terraced layout very pleasant, as it doesn’t feel cramped while still allowing easy access to everything. The sanitation facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Overall, this is a very family-friendly campsite that we definitely recommend to other families. We will happily return!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic experience at Terrassen Camping! Terrassen Camping has new owners, and you can really feel it – in the very best way. The place has undergone a significant facelift, and thought has been given to the overall experience, details, and guest satisfaction. The site is well-maintained, inviting, and cozy, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is top-notch. The new owners are welcoming, engaged, and clearly passionate about creating a great experience for both new and returning guests. Everything just works, and you truly feel welcome from the first moment. It’s clear that both energy and heart have been invested in the development of the site. A campsite that comes highly recommended – we will definitely be back!

Definitely not 4 stars, I wouldn't give even one

The price corresponds to a 4-star site, the location is very good in itself, but the only downside is that the railway line makes it impossible to reach the water with your own canoe, so you have to strap it onto the car and drive a few kilometers to get to the water. What is really unacceptable is the sanitary facilities, it's nice if the faucet shines, but every corner on the floor is moldy, under the toilets it is clear that it wasn't cleaned at all during the two weeks we were there (mildew stains). In short, the site is ridiculously overpriced and simply disgusting. Additionally, you have to pay in advance so you can't just leave without incurring significant financial damage.

Too Expensive and Too Dirty

The campsite itself has a truly dreamy location. However, this unfortunately cannot overshadow the fact that the sanitary facilities are available in too small a number (some showers do not work) and are not clean and well-maintained, as one would actually expect from a place in this price range. At the back of the campsite, there are two restrooms that are simply disgusting. Furthermore, the full price must be paid before entering the campsite, making it impossible to just leave without complicated reimbursement and cancellation fees. Clearly, no recommendation.

Campsite unfortunately did not meet my expectations

First, a preliminary note: Dogs are allowed on this site contrary to the indication from Pincamp. However, I only found this out through information on the site's homepage! When booking, one should pay close attention to which site one books, as not all are suitable for motorhomes! Even our site (138) was difficult to access. The rear was almost on the ground when approaching!!! The site itself was described as one with a panoramic view (most expensive category), which was only very limitedly true, as a large part of the view was severely restricted by a permanent camper in the previous, slightly lower row. The plot itself was, like many sites, upon arrival a complete "sand desert," which transformed into a single mud pit after a heavy thunderstorm. From this perspective, I find a price of €60 for two adults and a dog significantly too high. The pitch was surrounded by permanent campers, who are clearly in the majority at this campsite, contrary to the indication from Pincamp. Food supply is only very limited. Unfortunately, German gas bottles cannot be exchanged here. A hike at Julsø offers much for nature lovers. With a boat or train, you can quickly reach Himmelsbjerg or Ry or Silkeborg.

Much too expensive

The grass of the plot is virtually non-existent due to the constant use of awning carpets. So one must(!) use a carpet, otherwise you sit in the mud. Vicious circle. For €62.50 for 2 adults, it's grossly overpriced. The advertised lake view is only available in the front row. Absolutely no(!) recommendation!
