TCS Camping Sion

Actually a beautiful place, but the campsite has been very neglected for several years. The lawn by the lake is only mowed sporadically and is partially not watered, making it unsightly. The pitches are not mowed regularly. Sanitary facilities are old but clean. Too few washing machines, as they are also used by the cleaning team. Beach is new with sand, top. Few shopping opportunities in the store. Restaurant was great before, now self-service, so no holiday feeling. Quiet hours are not respected and monitored. Wifi does not work near the lake. The lovingly maintained seasonal pitches are nice for walking.

- No heating in the sanitary facilities (end 09.) - Shower cabins far too small - The restaurant that is not a restaurant for us: Consequence: Very disappointed and we went elsewhere to eat. There were never any free places because inside there are never any available places or the places are taken by young people who are sleeping... who are talking... who aren't even consuming!!

The campsite itself was very clean and the staff friendly. We had rented an Air-Lodge, whose hallmark was the skylight. Unfortunately, this window was completely dirty and we had no view of the sky. Had we known, we would have chosen a different accommodation. Otherwise, it was clean and spacious.

Very nice reception at the front desk!! The location was good, near the bus .. for going to the city center of Sion!! The place seems not to be well maintained due to the dryness!! The food in the restaurant was not very convincing!!

Very generous premium parking spaces directly by the lake

Well-maintained campsite, very nicely located. Shady and very sunny spots. Sanitary facilities are clean and are cleaned 2 times a day (high season). Shower cabins are too small, with a curtain in the cabin and a door that opens inwards. Not up to date, should be renewed. In high season, too few shower cabins and toilets. Every evening, bike races were held between the spots by the kids, there were dangerous situations and falls. Our assigned spot was unfortunately almost bare of grass and very dusty.

We have been going to Camping les Illes for over 16 years. The staff has never been so incompetent and unfriendly. They have no idea which pitches are reserved and which are not. We had to mow the grass ourselves upon arrival to set up. The second pitch we reserved was occupied, and the staff didn't even know it was taken. No wonder they don't even check the pitches. So, happily camping for free! If this campsite weren't in Sion (weather and surroundings), we definitely wouldn't choose this campsite.
