TCS Camping Gordevio Valle Maggia

Wild surroundings, the area is super beautiful, the Maggia river is lovely, the campsite is simple and poorly maintained, with a lot of trees - plenty of shade / poor Wi-Fi reception, which bothered me the most since they promote this as a requirement - really disappointing!

The campsite is in urgent need of renovation, particularly the lower area. At times, there was no toilet paper available. The staff has never been as unfriendly as this year, whether at reception, depending on the person, or among the cleaning staff.

The location and atmosphere are top-notch! Unfortunately, the new shop, or what remains of it - I can't say it any other way - is really bad. With so few and rather distant shopping options, a decent shop would really be good, at least one where you don't just get overpriced beer. It’s the same as before. Oh, the cleaning team should choose a better time in the morning for cleaning the restrooms, simply not between 7-9 AM when everyone is doing their morning routines. However, the sanitary facilities are very clean and well-maintained.

Very nice location with plenty of shade, and it was also great that a kitchen was available. There was a big parking problem, which was tedious, and the fridge didn't work; the cooling elements were still liquid after 24 hours.

Fantastic location right by the Maggia, surrounded by greenery. Unfortunately, the showers and toilets are rather outdated, not very clean, and often in disrepair.

Friendly assistance at the office during check-in and check-out - very clean and inviting camping tent - good shaded location among tall trees - short walk to the sanitary facilities.
