TCS Camping Buochs Vierwaldstättersee

The campsite was nice. The staff was friendly. Very well situated for outdoor activities. The registration process for a group was disastrous. We have never experienced such a laborious process, even though we have been coming here every year for 25 years (to various campsites). Obtaining the guest card as a group was extremely tedious.

Beautiful location by the lake. A good starting point for biking, whether flat or in the mountains. Our rental, the Family POD Deluxe (No. 16), was in the best spot on the site, not cheap but acceptable. No more than that. Despite the announcement on the website, there was no parking space available by the cabin. Thanks to our first neighbors from site (503), a young and easygoing couple with 7-month-old twins, we were allowed to leave our car. The following users, also young, a family with 2 school-age children, were rather complicated and not very friendly. Without any discussion, I was asked to leave. Upon departure, we had to carry our belongings about 100 meters because there is no access to the cabin when the adjacent site (503) is occupied. We loaded our bikes at the entrance. What a shame. ☹️

Positive: The location of the campsite is excellent. Cleanliness of the sanitary facilities and common areas. Negative: I greatly regret that French is not one of the languages spoken at the reception (or very little spoken), and there is no tourist documentation in French. German is clearly favored. I felt that the Romand Swiss were not welcome. When I introduced myself upon arrival, the people before me, speaking Swiss German, received smiles and endless explanations. I, however, seemed to irritate the lady at reception... I refrained from asking questions... Positive: HOWEVER, as I really liked this campsite (except for the reception), I have already reserved and paid for the VIP spot 500 for a week in September 2026. Regards. Nicole Tille

At TCS Buochs, we only appreciated the clean sanitary facilities. We chose the most expensive pitch with VIP quality, which unfortunately turned out to be a total disappointment. The pitches are all poorly maintained, dry, and thus there is no chance of driving a stake for the storm guy lines into the hard ground. The disappointment was further amplified as we almost had to fly our 7m camper into the VIP pitch, as the area was overcrowded with unkempt hedges and wild bushes, leaving almost no space or anywhere near the promised 100m2. It would be important to inform customers about the small and cramped spaces when inquiring. We strongly urge the administrator or TCS to either combine and enlarge the VIP pitches, so that access to the lake is not continuously disrupted by crowds.

Despite the bad weather, it stayed dry inside. Outside, there were benches to sit on, but no table :( we missed a trash can (the other tipi had one).

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Italy. The site is ideally located for a stopover. We received a very friendly welcome, the sanitary facilities were excellent, and shopping options as well as the bus stop and boat dock are easily reachable on foot. You could even rent a car, which is a fantastic option if you stay longer and arrive by camper. It is also perfect for cycling along the lake or in the surrounding area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much, and we are happy to come back.

The sanitary facilities are brand new and impeccably clean. It was a pleasure to be there.
