A targeted reservation of a specific pitch is not possible; you can only reserve a place in general. I did not reserve and arrived promptly at noon to get a pitch with a view of the fjord. At the reception, we were assigned a place in the side area of the campsite (with no fjord view). Upon inquiring about the pitches with fjord views, we were told that we could only get them 2 days later, as everything was booked. Later, we found out that 23 pitches with fjord views had been kept free. We asked at the reception and were served flimsy arguments and contradictory statements about the targeted reservation by a Dutch travel group. I cannot recommend this campsite as there was no cooperation from the unfriendly staff at the reception.

Motorhome Parking Spot.

We stayed on 17.08.2023 for one night at the forecourt pitch of the campsite. The spot lies between the railway track and the E 6, and there are also planes flying over. Price without electricity 480 crowns (approximately 45 €). Toilet was free, the shower cost an additional 15 crowns. The pitch is very slanted, the wedges often are not sufficient. The young woman at the reception spoke German and was very friendly. Conclusion: The most expensive pitch I know. Place is very loud, even at night. You stand at an angle. This spot should be avoided and exorbitant prices should not be supported.

Campsite at the Fjord with a Grand View

We had a very nice spot with the caravan in the front row. Unfortunately, the spots are so small that the awning was not allowed to be set up (fire department regulations). The view of the fjord was perfect. The sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired. The number of toilets was also insufficient. For passing through, it is certainly worth a stop. The price/performance ratio is rather poor.

Only for a Stopover...

Organizational problems. If you leave for a few hours during your booking period, your spot is occupied when you return. If you complain, the lady at the reception suddenly can no longer speak German... The sanitary facilities are old, not very clean, and there are too few of them. The toilets are always occupied. During our Scandinavia trip, the worst place!

Good campsite. Unfortunately, showers cost extra. Contrary to the statements here, dogs are indeed allowed. Staff is very nice.

At this place, it very much depends on luck whether it will be a nice stay. 20% have more luck, the rest less... . 20% of the spots have a sea view, but are cramped like chickens on a perch. In this area, there also seem to be modern sanitary facilities. In the front area near the bridge over the railway embankment, the sanitary facilities are from the last millennium. In terms of noise, there is the railway line, the road, and the flight path. The only positive aspect for the campsite is its proximity to Trondheim and the lack of alternatives.

The reception was friendly and uncomplicated. We were able to choose our own parking spot. However, the spots right by the sea were reserved, even though the homepage states that reserving specific spots is not possible. Depending on where you are parked, there is a nice view of the sea and also a quiet location. Wi-Fi is available. The sanitary facilities are new and very clean. One downside of the showers is the lack of a partition towards the shower. Since there is also a lack of a decent shelf, one has to be careful that the clothes do not get wet. A 4-minute shower costs 15 crowns, which we found to be somewhat petty given the high parking fees. The dishwashing facilities are partly without a roof outside. Since it was cold and rainy during our stay, we found this to be extremely unpleasant. Furthermore, we felt it was negative that there is no waste separation. The connection to Trondheim is uncomplicated with public buses, although it takes relatively long, requires one transfer, and you have to buy the ticket via an app. The pizza from the snack bar is highly recommended. They also have fresh rolls.

Overrated Campsite

June 2022

The site is located by the sea, but you hardly notice it. The site is primarily noisy, as a railway line borders it directly. The ground was softened in most places, and deep tire tracks have been carved in. The sanitary facilities are just okay. The showers are narrow and provide no shelf. The toilets are at best mediocre. The site is simply overpriced. The ADAC rating is incomprehensible - clearly, the camper is not the priority. One night on the way through, the site is not suitable for more.
