Spessart Camping Schönrain

The operators are nice and the location is very suitable for cycling tours. The pitches are spacious. Unfortunately, there is no restaurant, only a compiled menu from three restaurants that offer delivery service. The playground does not deserve that name at all. The sanitary building is clean, but hot water for washing dishes costs extra. The unmarked place for gray water disposal should not be used according to the operator, as it is very close to the sanitary building and several motorhomes have already damaged the roof. We did not use the pool located near the house, which was meant for shared use, as it was unfortunately not inviting enough. Conclusion: The price-performance ratio does not match here, nor does the ADAC star rating.

Everything was perfect. The owner was nice, helpful, and always there for you. The sanitary facilities were top-notch. The parking spaces were large, and you could choose for yourself. Quiet hours were mostly observed. I will come back next year.

Dear campers, the site operators have their hearts in the right place, took us in spontaneously, service is very good (friendly operators, roll delivery service, clean sanitary facilities). If you have questions, you will be referred to the information sheet, no more restaurant operation, but snacks, ONLY CASH PAYMENT POSSIBLE! The forest is beautiful, sanitary facilities are new but have not been painted yet, long walks to get there, old sanitary facilities closed but not marked. The reception is the kiosk in the charm of a 70s Aunt Emma shop, as is the phone booth with the phone book. The playground is sad: a loveless sandpit and two old swings. The pool is dirty and ice cold. Quiet hours are observed. What's the best thing about the site? Our neighbors.

We have been to this campsite several times now. Very nice operators, very large pitches. Great surroundings with many hiking opportunities. The nearest shopping option is in Gemünden. The sanitary building, perceived by some reviewers as new, has been known to us in its unchanged form since 2012. Noise from train traffic is audible at night, overall recommended for a short stay.

Friendly reception. We could choose our parking space on-site. Some uneven spots. Clean sanitary facilities. Noise from the street is noticeable if you take the parking space on the meadow. We had to leave early, but that was no problem. The nearby town of Lohr was worth seeing.

We were very positively surprised by this campsite. Very nice owner. The sanitary facilities are new and excellently clean. The pitches are large and there is a calm and relaxed atmosphere. We immediately recommended the campsite to my family. We would love to come back!

The area was beautifully green. Nice large plots divided by hedges. We had sun and shade on our pitch in June. The reception at the front desk was warm. We had made a reservation. A very good hygiene regulation in the sanitary facilities. Everyone had to take an access card with them. Thus, everything was organized without stress. The bread service always worked perfectly. A quiet starting point for bike tours along the Main. Thanks to e-bikes, the last climb on the way back to Hofstetten was no problem.
