Old town easily reachable by bus, ideal as a stopover for 2 nights.

It is an ideal campsite for exploring Dubrovnik. We mostly walked to the port and into the city. However, with bus line 6, you can also easily travel in and out of the city for 2.50 euros per person. The bus ticket can be easily purchased from the bus driver. Those who have the Dubrovnik pass for one or three days can even travel for free. The campsite is located in a quiet area and we could choose our own spot. However, I do not know if this is generally the case. The spots were level, with electricity and water at the pitch. The sanitary facilities are indeed not quite up to current standards, but they were regularly cleaned and always tidy. To swim, you could walk to the beach in 5 minutes. The beach is very well maintained. There are gravel areas and also sun loungers. The reception was always staffed and you were greeted very warmly.

Our expectations for a campground of the Valamar group were disappointed. Apparently, the group does not need it, as it is the only campground in Dubrovnik. The facility was very outdated, and the sites appeared neglected. Showers were partially broken, and only one of the three washing machines worked. Positive: the bus connection to the city center is excellent, and you can use the beautiful pools of the various Valamar hotels.

Extremely expensive (64€ per night for 2 people) 🤯 Everything is very old and the water in the shower was cold despite the hefty price. The only campsite in Dubrovnik. Bus connection to Dubrovnik. Good WiFi.

Pros Free choice of pitch, some with sea view, 16 ampere electricity, natural site with trees, close to the sea, ideal for visiting Dubrovnik, cooking and cooling facilities, spontaneous arrival possible, friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities, the adjacent hotel can also be used. Cons Sanitary facilities are dated, poorly lit at night, no handrails on the stairs, long walk to the sanitary facilities, unused animation area, power cables partially above ground, 7 euros for washing machine/dryer, poor Wi-Fi

Space is underground, parking spaces are totally unkempt, sanitation barely exists. But quiet and good bus connection to the city. No idea how ADAC gives 4 stars for the sanitation facilities. Here is only 1 building with three toilets for each gender open. Toilet flushing with a chain. It reminds me of a motorcycle trip 40 years ago to Yugoslavia.

Simple facilities, clean but everything open and therefore cold. Parking spaces completely unkempt. Completely overpriced prices. About €50 per day. Cheeky. Just because the old town of Dubrovnik is nearby. Look at the city and then get away.

We were here for 4 nights in area B. This is probably the newer area. The pitches were quite level and large enough for our 7m motorhome. Water at the pitch and a drain was available for every 2 pitches to share. Electricity with 16A fuse. The sanitation building was impeccable and was constantly cleaned. Restaurant small but reasonable prices and good quality. There is a bus to the city. However, we always took UBER. 15 min for €8 a ride - very cheap. The reception was always staffed with nice people who were also helpful. We will definitely come back.

Solitudo Sunny Camping impresses with its peaceful location in the middle of a dense deciduous forest. Despite the seclusion and tranquillity, which is ideal for a relaxing holiday, the historic city of Dubrovnik with its numerous sights is within walking distance. The site is ideal for a couple or family holiday, rounded off with relaxing and sunny days on the nearby beach.
The location is probably the biggest highlight of Solitudo Sunny Camping, as the campsite is located in the city centre of Dubrovnik. The site in Dalmatia is just 5 kilometres from the historic old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has become a popular tourist destination thanks to the TV series "Games of Thrones". At the same time, picturesque stretches of rocky coastline and sandy beaches await campers along the Adriatic Sea. There are 393 pitches for holidaymakers on the entire site, 238 of which are parcelled out. There are also 21 rental accommodations on an area of 7 hectares. The dog-friendly campsite is equipped with tumble dryers and washing machines. Campers will also find a small grocery shop and a communal kitchen so that they can easily cater for themselves. There is a children's playground and various entertainment programmes for the kids. In addition to the swimming opportunities in the Mediterranean, campers can also look forward to the spa facilities on site. The facilities are rounded off with fast and free Wi-Fi, an on-site restaurant and a dog shower. Overall, there is a sociable atmosphere at Solitudo Sunny Camping. All campers quickly feel at home here and come into contact with other holidaymakers from all over the world.
Of course, nearby Dubrovnik offers the most sights. The quickest way for campers to reach the city centre is by public transport or on foot, for example to visit the oldest pharmacy in Europe or the cathedral. We highly recommend taking a walk along Dubrovnik's city walls, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the streets. Travellers who would like to discover the nature of Dalmatia should take a tour to the small town of Ston. Here, you can drive through picturesque mountain landscapes and stop every now and then for a swim in the Adriatic Sea. You can also quickly reach the small island of Lokrum, which is known for its beaches and monastery, by boat from Dubrovnik.
