Smegarden Camping offers a relaxing nature holiday in the heart of Norway amidst gentle mountain slopes. Open all year round, the family campsite with rental cabins and a flat to slightly sloping meadow area for caravans and motorhomes is located in the Drivdalen river valley in the south of the Trøndelag region. Around 8 kilometres away at the foot of Dovrefjell is the winter sports resort of Oppdal, known for its attractive pistes and high-altitude cross-country ski trails. In the warmer months, the natural landscape around the campsite is ideal for hiking and cycling. The large flocks of sheep typical of Oppdal are a constant companion along the way. Musk ox and elk safaris in the surrounding pine forests are also very popular. You can also try your luck at fishing on the river that flows past the campsite.

We were passing through there in October '21 and were already annoyed by the mostly poorly equipped sanitary facilities at Norwegian campsites. This place was completely different. Recommendable place
You can choose your parking space freely on the meadow. Very friendly reception. Located slightly away from the E6, therefore quiet. Sanitary facilities very clean. Wifi very fast. Washing 40kr, drying 40kr, however only for 37 minutes (laundry not completely dry).

unfortunately we had so much rain that the meadow was very soft, but we didn't have to maneuver much, so it's okay
