Beautiful and quietly located campsite

The campsite and sanitary facilities were clean, soap and toilet paper were always replenished. The fish truck and fruit & vegetable seller have a good selection, as does the grocery shop. Staff always friendly. Unfortunately, the described bus connection no longer exists, but it is already in the reader folder at the reception and in the campsite description. A taxi to Punat would cost about €60 round trip. Here you have to either walk or be sporty on a bike; there is only the main road with proper inclines/declines. You can't really take the dog for a walk, the described hiking trails only exist once you've walked along the main road to Stara Baška. Dog waste bags & trash bins are positive. The handrail to the dog beach has been renewed. We were there with a dog and a child (8 years old).

When we first came here 7 years ago, it was good and clean, but now it leaves much to be desired. Nothing has been renewed yet, like the handrail to the dog beach. The dog beach has now become a small marina. Only Slovenians are allowed to place their boats. Sadly, the swimming area has been reduced to a quarter,... unfortunately!!! Unfortunately, there is also no run area for dogs, only the main road. And there is no footpath to Skrila Baska.

We booked a specific plot and that was a good decision. It doesn't get more dreamy than this. There is nothing offered at the spot and it is therefore rather quiet. The cleanliness in the washroom has significantly declined compared to 2019. I was also displeased that there is actually no more difference between the various beach sections. Everyone goes where they like, regardless of whether they are nudists, families, singles, or dog owners. No one from the staff keeps order. Walking the dog is almost impossible, as you only have the busy main road at your disposal. Nevertheless, we will return. The peace and view from our plot are priceless.

Great campsite for relaxing, not quite optimal for dogs

Very good8

August 2023

We were at Sunny Skrila for 16 days in mid-August and surprisingly would have liked to stay longer. Since there is nothing offered at the site (no animation, no pool, no stands with clothes and jewelry, etc.), one can just relax and try out the different sections of the beach. Even the little kids (6/7) were always satisfied and happy. The site was never completely full – therefore very pleasant and quiet! The sanitary facilities are clean and sufficient. The "supermarket" offers everyday products in case of emergency, but it is too expensive and has too few products. Unfortunately, for us late risers, there were never any whole grain rolls left – there simply isn't enough available. The restaurant is very good, and the staff there is very friendly. We found the prices to be okay. What we really missed was an ice cream stand with open ice. Packaged ice was available in the store and at the bar. For dogs that need exercise, the site is not really suitable – the nearby road is quite busy. However, this is the only option for walking. The mountains behind the campsite have no paths, but rather sharp debris that can hurt paws.

Tip-Top Campsite

June 2023

Really great campsite! We were just there for 2 1/2 weeks, had a dreamy premium Mare site. Great beaches, nice pitches, decent sanitary facilities, good restaurant, quite a large - but expensive - supermarket, knick-knack shop, sometimes a fresh fish cart, and always a fruit and vegetable stand. It doesn't get much better, but it helps to be mobile. The nearest town (Stara Baška) with some restaurants is reachable on foot (only about 2.6 km), but along the road. The nearest shopping opportunity in Punat - about 8 km - is where a car is helpful. We were there with the caravan, so no problem at all, even to drive to the other towns... Summary: unbelievably beautiful campsite!!!

Nice Place Small Beach

July 2022

Been at the site for the second time. This time camping home. Compared to last year, now there is a gravel beach, no more sand. Staff was very friendly like last year. Very quiet site with good pitches as they are partially terraced. Fruits and vegetables were very good just like last year. The nude beach is always emptier if you like that.

The place itself is beautiful. From swimming to relaxing, very nice. With a camper van, you are restricted, as there is no connection to Punat or Krk. The vegetable and fruit selection could be fresher. No ice cream café (scooped ice cream). The absolute highlight is the restaurant, very good food. The price for the campsite is too high.

More infos about Camping Škrila

Surrounded by white karst mountains and the turquoise blue sea, Škrila Sunny Camping welcomes sun-seekers in the south of the Croatian island of Krk. The campsite, not far from the village of Stara Baška, has two bays hidden by rocks and a beautiful long pebble beach: The perfect setting for a carefree holiday by the sea. The holiday resort receives many good reviews on Pincamp and is particularly appreciated for its great location and peaceful atmosphere.

Fantastic 3-star campsite with a private beach and plenty of peace and quiet

The secluded and peaceful location in the Mediterranean countryside just 1.5 kilometres from the holiday village of Stara Baška makes Škrila Sunny Camping a popular destination for campers looking for some peace and quiet away from the usual hustle and bustle on the island of Krk during their family holiday. The highlight is the 700 metre long campsite shore with a wonderful beach of fine gravel, which offers a fantastic view of the Kvarner islands and fantastic sunsets. A real island feeling!

The terraced campsite offers various options for camping close to the sea. The terrain is slightly sloping and laid out in terraces so that the majority of the 258 numbered pitches can enjoy the picturesque sea view. If you want to stay as close as possible to the crystal-clear waters of the Croatian Adriatic, choose the 80 to 100m² Premium pitches in the first row along the shore. The Comfort pitches for caravans are located just behind and measure 70 to 90 m². The standard pitches of the same size in a pine grove are mostly shady under the trees. Each motorhome pitch has an electricity connection on the pitch and most also have a fresh water supply and grey water disposal. The modern sanitary buildings on both halves of the campsite are each equipped with hot showers, toilets, changing tables, washbasins and dishwashing sinks. There are also unparcelled pitches for tents and family tents by the sea. Alternatively, campers can find their new home in the pretty camping homes near the beach. The mobile homes are fully equipped with air conditioning, bathroom, children's room and kitchen and are the perfect place for a relaxing family holiday on the Adriatic.

Above the main beach, a beach bar provides thirsty swimmers with fruity cocktails and other cold drinks. Holidaymakers can sample local specialities in the à la carte restaurant. There is also a self-service supermarket where self-catering guests can buy fresh food. Wi-Fi is available free of charge at the campsite reception. Dogs and pets are welcome on the site and there is also a dedicated dog beach where four-legged friends can romp around in the water to their heart's content.

Relaxing days on the Adriatic beach

The campsite beach is one of the highlights of the holiday complex. Over 700 metres of coastline are divided into 4 beach sections, where every holidaymaker will find something to their liking. There is an informal area for nudists, a lively family beach and a separate section for dog owners. The main beach, with sunbeds and straw parasols for hire, is made of fine gravel and gently slopes into the crystal-clear water. It is particularly suitable for families, as even younger children can splash around safely and happily here. Romantics and couples will find another beautiful beach below the rocks. There is also a secluded nudist beach for naturists and a separate dog beach.

As the day draws to a close, many guests gather on the beaches and enjoy the romantic atmosphere of the holiday resort. The west-facing orientation is ideal for watching the sun sink into the Adriatic Sea in the evening, glowing golden and red.

Multifaceted diving and hiking paradise

Despite its remoteness, Škrila Sunny Camping offers a varied leisure programme, so that your camping holiday will certainly not be boring away from the beach. Active holidaymakers can compete against each other in a friendly tournament on the fine sandy beach volleyball court. Škrila Sunny Camping also rents out kayaks, jet skis and stand-up paddleboards for explorers to discover the enchanting bay in front of the campsite.

Underwater sports enthusiasts can look forward to the diving centre 500 metres from the campsite. Here, holidaymakers can hire diving equipment, book boat trips and set off to explore the fascinating underwater world of the Adriatic. A little further away in Stara Baška is the professional diving centre Euro-Divers. From there, excursions take place to the colourful house reef with its purple gorgonians, billowing anemone fields and various stony corals. The region's most spectacular dive sites with steep walls, tunnels and currents are spread around the uninhabited island of Prvić.

Passionate hikers can follow the numerous paths and trails from Škrila Sunny Camping through the rugged mountain landscape and climb the peaks of Mali Hlam (448 metres) or Veliki Hlam (482 metres). The small town of Punat, a short drive away, is also worth a visit, with its winding old town and numerous beautiful beaches.
