See-Camping Altenburg-Pahna

A campsite beautifully located right by the lake. The sanitary facilities are quite dated, but a start has been made, as one block is currently being completely renovated. What we also didn't like was that you are assigned a spot number upon booking, but on site, you find out that in the corresponding category, there is free choice of spots, so some were parked there. Few couldn't even get their car out because they were boxed in by others.

We arrived without prior notice and immediately found a spot. A nice lady at the reception, the sanitary facilities are old but clean, nice café on the beach, perfect for hiking.

Beautiful location directly by the lake, starting point for small and large hikes / bike tours. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are also aged, and the site could be made more cozy with a few small details. Shower tokens and separate electricity billing are no longer up to date.

Our arrival was on Thursday and the stay was supposed to last until Wednesday. However, with the option to extend until Saturday. This was also confirmed to us as the spot was not reserved until then. When we wanted to extend on Wednesday, it was suddenly reserved and we had to vacate it the same day. As an alternative, we were offered another spot. This was not an option for us and we left. We wonder: 1. why can't the new guest stand on one of the many free spots? 2. why did we leave a mobile number if no one calls us to ask if we want to use the option? We have never experienced such unfriendly customer service in our long camping times. Our verdict: The spot, despite the friendly lady at the reception, is not recommended!

We had a phone inquiry for a booking from 08.05.-12.05.24 with an employee. He said no problem. If it could be sent again via email, then everything would be fine. We arrived at the reception with our camper on 08.05.24, and there was no booking. I was brutally treated by the staff. Our acquaintances had reserved a spot for us, which was not occupied until 12.05.24! We were not allowed onto the campsite and left again. We travel a lot with our camper, but we have never experienced such unfriendliness.

Was there this year at the site. Very nice bathing lake. Always lovely in Pahna. We go there every 2 years.

A real catastrophe. We were including Ascension Day weekend. Nothing is taken into consideration here, neither the midday rest nor the night hours. (They even make their own laws (quiet hours from 11 pm - 7 am). If you have to leave by car, you won't get out.) Those who want to party are well taken care of, but not for people who want to relax. And the ladies at the reception don't care.
