Schartner Alm Camping

The location is directly on the road, a bit isolated. There is a pizzeria, bistro, and restaurant on site, along with a small camping shop. The staff is very friendly, the sanitary facilities are brand new and everything is super clean. The pitches are gravel, long, and narrow, but you can sit next to the motorhome. Water is available at the pitch. The price list is misleading: according to the internet, 20 euros per pitch for our category and season - we paid 45 plus a flat fee of 20 (which is also 4 euros more than online) for a second person, plus an environmental fee. For using the sauna or heated whirlpool, there is an additional charge of 5 euros per use. The total price for the pitch plus 2 persons plus a dog, including local tax but excluding electricity: 78 euros in the mid-season. The price list on the internet states 'from' - this does leave a bit of a 'bitter taste'.

One of the most beautiful campsites I know, in addition to the other excellent reviews: there is a sauna for five euros usage fee. For children, there is an indoor playground and outside a lovely forest playground. The Wi-Fi works flawlessly (not a given). The view is breathtakingly beautiful.

Superbly located campsite with lovely pitches, great sanitary facilities, and super friendly and helpful staff. Great pool, but not heated, requires a bit of courage! In the associated hotel, fantastic pizzeria, restaurant, and bistro. Bus stop right at the door. You can tell we really enjoyed our time here.

We stayed for two nights at the Schartner Alm and are totally enthusiastic. For us, 5 stars and more. The sanitary facilities are super clean and everything is very nicely furnished. The pizzeria is amazing, even locals love it here. The price-performance ratio is excellent. This family business leaves no wishes unfulfilled, everyone is friendly and attentive. Top pool area and everything is of very high quality. We will definitely return.

Very nice campsite overlooking the Dolomites

Exclusive location that also comes at a cost. 2 adults, 2 dogs, electricity, €103. That's quite a statement, although the pitches are sometimes very sloped. Definitely too expensive for me. There are significantly cheaper pitches with better spots. The whole site is very natural. Very narrow access roads.

We spent 2 nights here. It is truly a lovely small campsite. As it is accessible via a fairly steep mountain road, I would recommend it more for motorhomes or caravans with a powerful tow vehicle. We were there with a caravan and a VW bus, and the bus struggled quite a bit. The sanitary facilities are very clean and new. There is a restaurant and a pizzeria, a great indoor playground, and a great outdoor playground. The natural swimming pool is also very nice and clean.
