Very unfriendly staff. During encounters, they looked the other way so they wouldn't have to greet. Sanitary facilities are in very poor condition. We left after three nights even though we wanted to stay for five.

Very nice natural camping spots under the trees, which was particularly beautiful as one does not stand in accurate rows. From our spot, we could even see the Baltic Sea or were 30 meters from the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful; we even got our same spot back as we were somewhere else for a day. The sanitary facilities were also very clean. The only criticism I really have is the bread service, reheated rolls that you must eat while they are still warm; later, you can call them stones, and that you only have food service in the snack restaurant until 6 PM. However, we enjoyed the food. If this doesn’t bother you, I can only highly recommend the site, and we will definitely return on our next visit to Rügen.

A natural spot under tall trees right by the beach. Everything is simple but functional. A designated dog beach allows for long walks, and you can paddle well in the lagoon.

We were there for Easter, not overcrowded, friendly staff and nice reception. The wash houses were always clean, no matter what time it was. The site offers everything you need, close to the water and very well-kept pitches. The kiosk has delicious rolls. We would love to come back.

Anyone looking for peace and seclusion in an absolutely natural atmosphere has come to the right place. The beach is located right at the site and offers enough space for everyone to create their little beach happiness. Unfortunately, we were not given the option to choose our own spot, so we were assigned a place that unfortunately had a lot of pollen and mosquitoes (which seems to be a problem throughout the entire area with the little nuisances). The staff is extremely polite and very accommodating. The sanitary facilities and the washing house are super clean and are cleaned daily. The small kiosk offers not only rolls but also a small but fine menu, so you can get the essentials. In summary: beautiful site with minor drawbacks.

We, 50, 41, 10, and 8 years old with a caravan, stayed here for 6 nights in mid-August. I had read many reviews about this site, which were rather mixed. Still, we came here because we didn't want to drag our trailer across half the island, and the thought of nature camping and "absolute" proximity to the beach appealed to us. No reservation was necessary since at that time only Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg were on vacation. We liked that you could simply choose a free spot and set up wherever you wanted. However, our power cable was almost stretched to its limits as sometimes the distribution boxes were a bit farther apart. In the small wooded area, there are several water stations to get fresh water. You are practically almost right at the beach, only separated by a dune. It wasn't very busy, so we almost had the beach completely to ourselves. The water is shallow with a few stones and thus also great for families. The toilet is cleaned twice a day and was always top clean. There are solid individual cabins to sit "undisturbed." The disposal for the chemical toilet is a disaster. A hole with a grate at the bottom where wet wipes, which were improperly disposed of here, had unfortunately gotten stuck. It didn't look nice. Furthermore, rubber boots would have been very practical here as it can spray next to the hole, and the wet puddle on the ground around the disposal hole was sometimes a bit unpleasant when you didn't know who or what it was from. It could have just as well been clear water from flushing. The drainage hole, simply in the concreted ground, is poorly designed. The washing area smells musty and looks somewhat dilapidated; moreover, there are no trash bins here to dispose of small amounts of food scraps that might end up in the sewer. We found the showers to be bad. There are coin-operated showers directly across from the sinks in the washing area. 3 minutes for 1 Euro. There is also no cold water without a shower token. Once the 3 minutes are up, the supply is dry. Conclusion: I ended up shaving my legs at the sink with free warm water (could have washed long hair this way too) to save my shower tokens. The coin slot is inconveniently located, centrally for all showers, on the wall in the middle of the washing area. So anyone who wants to add coins has to cross the room wet and naked. Fortunately, we were there in the off-season, so we were usually alone when showering, but I would wish for a bit more privacy. The doors of the individual showers are made of frosted glass and somewhat transparent. So anyone can see what I do in the shower when I shave my legs... (which I only did for the first time in the shower). Additionally, I had my period during our stay, and I would have liked to shower in an opaque cabin. My daughter (8) is just starting to feel embarrassed and therefore also never wanted to shower there again. There is no shelf for shampoo and soap in the shower itself, let alone a way to have the towel within reach. Only a plastic bench is available by the coin machine. Something should be done here, then I wouldn't hesitate to give almost 5 stars. I was annoyed to have left my portable solar shower at home during this vacation. The access, or the last few kilometers to the site, is only single-lane. We were lucky and had no oncoming traffic. I also needed to do laundry, which I found a bit more expensive than usual. The snack bar is indeed as described by others. But if you talk to the man a bit, he's quite nice. But it closes already at 6 PM. There were many cyclists there for 1 night with tents.

The location and the sanitary facilities were very good. It was very quiet during the time we were there and you could choose your pitch yourself.
