From the moment of check-in, it was clear that the staff lacked professionalism. My booking, made 5 days in advance, was not prepared at all; there was no guest folder and so on. I did not have a fixed spot; I was told to choose whatever I wanted, which ended up being a sloping field with a broken water connection. When I asked about activities in the area, the response was that these days, one should look it up oneself, which felt very inappropriate to me, indicating a lack of service. The trash can next to us was overflowing, and the staff ignored it. It wasn’t until the third day that someone came by, and of course, the smell prompted the drivers to notice. I cannot recommend this site at all. It’s quite sad for Rainbow Camp. I had already visited others that were much better.

All in all, it is a beautiful quiet place with sufficiently clean sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, not all pitches were available due to the weather conditions. We had already been informed about this in advance, and the replacement was good. Only the Wi-Fi that was offered on the internet was not available. The staff was very friendly.

I found the service quite good, we were informed in advance that due to the current weather situation, many pitches are not available and that we would get a suitable spot. That worked out quite well. Unfortunately, there was no Wi-Fi as advertised on the website; we were almost at the reception. The sanitary house that was open was clean and the site itself was very quiet. We also found it very pleasant that the showers and electricity were included. Thus, the price-performance ratio was great. We will definitely come back, hopefully in nicer weather.

Beautifully located campsite, well suited as a starting point for bike tours in the area

The reception was very friendly, the sanitary facilities were good and clean, we found the price reasonable as electricity and shower are included. Since the site is located in a marsh area, unfortunately not all pitches were usable due to heavy rainfall prior to our visit, but we were well informed about which areas are suitable. As a starting point for cycling tours, the site is very well suited; the path to the canal and the lake is not far and there are many beautiful bike paths. We had to go into the city to get rolls, but it only takes a few minutes (approx. 1.4 km) by bike to the city center. In April, it was still a bit bare since the bushes had just been cut back significantly, but we felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

CP is recommended for those seeking peace, the sanitary facilities are clean, and the parking space was sufficiently large. Bad Bederkesa is accessible on foot, a beautiful place with a lake, a lot of nature. Overall, we were positively surprised. The only point of criticism: The CEE plug was very hard to insert into the power outlet at the CP site, it needs urgent replacement. We will come back.

More info about Regenbogen Bad Bederkesa
Camping Regenbogen Bad Bederkesa is located in a wooded natural area not far from Lake Bederkesa. With a child-friendly atmosphere and a varied entertainment programme, the campsite is ideal for a relaxing and active holiday with the whole family.
Family-friendly campsite with a closeness to nature
The spacious campsite covers a total of 13 hectares with 230 largely parcelled-out pitches for holidaymakers. The pitches have an area of between 80 m² and 120 m², which is particularly pleasing for those who love peace and privacy. Amenities such as electricity, Wi-Fi access, well-maintained sanitary facilities and laundry facilities make for an even more comfortable stay. In the high season, the entertainment programme, which is popular with young and old, is one of the highlights. Children in particular get their money's worth with arts and crafts sessions and a youth theatre. Alternatively, the kids can let off steam in the playground while the adults play a game of volleyball. Despite the lively atmosphere, the campsite is a place of peace and relaxation thanks to its spaciousness. The neighbouring lake is perfect for a refreshing swim, a long walk or a sporty bike ride. The small camping shop provides tasty refreshments, snacks, morning rolls and other necessities. There are also other supermarkets in Bad Bederkesa, just 1 km away. Nearby excursion destinations, for example Bremerhaven, which is only about 28 km away, complement the excellent location of the campsite. The German Maritime Museum, the art museum or the historical museum are great places to spend a fun and varied day, even in bad weather.
