About
On the shores of Lake Ranuanjärvi in northern Finland, Ranua Resort Camping Ranuanjärvi offers peaceful holidays by the water. Unspoilt nature with lakes and forests surrounds the tree-lined site directly on the lakeshore near the village of Ranua. The small sandy beach with its bathing jetty is just a few metres away. There is also a boat hire centre on site. The mostly parcelled out pitches with electricity and the simple mobile homes with heating exude a cosy flair. Children love playing in the playground or competing with their parents at mini golf. Sports enthusiasts are drawn to beach volleyball. The sauna offers welcome wellness. There is a supermarket and a restaurant 3 kilometres away in Ranua. WLAN is available throughout the campsite.

What is the access to Lake Ranuanjärvi like and is there a sauna?
You will be camping right above Lake Ranuanjärvi. Access to the water is via a rocky shore that is quite steep in places, but there is a small, coarse-sandy beach area and a jetty. After a refreshing dip in the lake, you can warm up beautifully in the campsite's own sauna – typically Finnish!
How are the pitches on the campsite designed?
A natural, partly gently sloping terrain in a light pine forest awaits you. The site offers a total of 70 pitches for holidaymakers, 50 of which are marked out (size: 80 to 120 m²). The pitches are partly gravelled, which is great in wet weather. They also have 16-amp electricity connections.
When is the campsite open and what language is spoken?
The site has a fairly short season and is open from 1 June to 31 August. English is spoken at reception. There is a wonderfully quiet atmosphere, perfect for enjoying the Lapland nature to the full.
