Not for us again

The price/performance ratio is unacceptable. The sanitary facilities are outdated and not clean. On our arrival day, in the late afternoon, they were not usable. There is no friendliness or service to be found here. For a price of 70 € for one night, the offered performance is by no means adequate. Not for us again.

Campsite Directly by the Lake

We booked the campsite at short notice during our journey to Croatia, for one night. The campsite is located directly by the lake with appropriate access. However, we found the price of 70€ for 2 adults, 1 child, and a dog with a caravan to be excessive. In particular, the sanitary facilities are quite outdated, and in our case, they were not usable in the evenings since the showers and toilets were rather unclean. Additionally, using the shower costs 1€ for a shower token. The restaurant on the premises is okay, the portions are adequate, and the prices are still reasonable. Overall, I would not book this campsite again.

For 90 euros for one night, it is a rip-off and lacks standard

We stayed for one night with 2 adults and 2 children for a price of 90.60 €. For this cost, we expected more. The biggest point of criticism is the sanitary facilities – they are heavily outdated, with no hooks in the shower cubicles and the benches are constantly wet. Additionally, we were charged without request for 4 shower tokens that we didn't use, plus a 3.90 € energy surcharge and 4 € extra for electricity. There was no water supply directly at the pitch – at this price, we would have expected that. The access to the site included several tight bends where cars were parked from the campsite – it was difficult with a long trailer, without any warning. The ground was made of loose small stones instead of clean gravel, which we constantly carried into the caravan. The pitches directly by the water are also extremely tight, sometimes only about 10 cm next to the neighbor – which is questionable from a fire safety perspective. For this price, neither for one night nor longer is it recommended.

Never again. Price absolutely too high. Unfriendly. Bad!

Never again! We paid 50 € in advance. I thought that was the price. On site, we were told we had to pay another 42.90 € for one night! We wanted to drive away immediately. The response was that we still had to pay since we had made a reservation. Aside from the location directly by Chiemsee, the campsite is terrible. The owner is absolutely unfriendly. Various vending machines in the sanitary facilities – it is really not suitable for children. The place is unkempt.

Good natural dog-friendly campsite

I really don't understand the bad reviews. At the reception, you are warmly welcomed. Then you receive your designated pitch. The site is located right by the Chiemsee, pure nature. Prien is just a stone's throw away. The restaurant on site is excellent, offering very tasty and varied food at reasonable prices. The service is also very friendly and accommodating. In the morning, fresh baked goods are available at the kiosk, or if you prefer, you can enjoy a light breakfast. The sanitary facilities may be old, but they are clean and well-kept. The family area and shower facilities are modern and very clean.

Good location, unfriendly and expensive

Never again. We were there for the second time, thinking that the bad impressions from the first time were an exception. But no. At the reception, we were asked when I showed the ACSI card what we wanted with this card, if they should write it down?! Although it is recommended by Acxis on the invoice header. Then the bill. Space, persons, tourist tax, energy fee, electricity fee, and then also costs for 2 shower tokens. All in all, 45.60€ for one night, 2 people with a caravan and car in the low season. If the location wasn't directly by the lake, the campsite probably wouldn't exist anymore. See the other reviews.

Basically a quiet place with little space to walk and no card payment at the kiosk. Dogs are not allowed to be walked on the premises either :/ it could also be cheaper.

Bad site meets bad service

We were at this campsite for the 4th time and also the last time. The staff member at the reception was unfriendliness in person! Then she wanted 61€ for a spontaneous overnight stay without electricity, etc. The invoice had a "reservation fee" of 15€, and when asked about it, she became rude and claimed it was a "mistake". It smells like a scam! The sanitary facilities are old. The men's toilet was constantly under water. (risk of accident) For the umpteenth time, the ventilation system in the shower (without windows to open) didn’t work. Presumably it has been broken or out for years. We pointed this out multiple times - without success (health risk). No Wi-Fi; the restaurant does not accept card payments because supposedly the mobile internet is too poor. We had 5G with 3 bars. It sounds like excuses to save costs.
