Göreme Panorama Camping

The campsite is centrally located within walking distance of Göreme. In the early morning, you can also observe the ascending balloons very well directly over the campsite. The site is very clean, with a small but nice swimming pool. The site is laid out on three levels. The first two have little to no panoramic view and are allocated for shorter stays of 1 or 2 nights. Only with a minimum of 3 nights do you access a third level with a great panoramic view. The price is especially extremely high for Turkey. On our trip from Germany, we had no campsite that was this expensive; in Turkey, they were all about half as expensive and yet almost all similarly clean.

Nicely located site with panoramic views of the Göreme valley. Göreme is accessible on foot via the slightly steep Göreme/Uchisar road. Pitches are reachable via a steep driveway to several terraces. Sanitary facilities and the swimming pool are definitely improvable in terms of quantity and amenities. Unfortunately, the owner keeps dogs on the site that disturb the night’s peace. However, the price/performance ratio is quite acceptable.

Only 600m to the center. Staff speaks English. The sanitary facilities are equipped to European standards, well maintained and clean, so far above the Asian average. There are only limited spaces available for larger motorhomes. In case of doubt, call in advance. In the morning, departing hot air balloons fly over the area.
