Aged facility, especially for children the playground is relatively neglected. The inflatable castle was super dirty. The grass could be mowed there more often. The mosquitoes were a disaster (the facility is not responsible for that,... I know!) Washing machines can only be used via an app, as many mobile networks cannot be received there and the super expensive Wi-Fi was also not available to us, making this smart move absolutely nonsensical!

It was wonderful for the 2 weeks, only the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, then we had a spot next to a tent camp from the fire brigade where a lamp was stolen from us, something like that is completely unacceptable at a campsite, it was also far too loud, as we had three children with us who can hardly sleep because of noise or lights from flashlights. Then despite announcements from the supervisor, the fire brigade members always walk through the reserved spot despite expensive windsurfing materials spread out there. Let's see if we come back here.

A very nice place, very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the afternoon quiet hours are not respected. Sanitary facilities were clean and adequate. Waste disposal facility should be revised. Very good restaurant on site. A mini-market with a selection of rolls is also available.

A Shame

June 2023

We have been coming to Suhrendorf for years and are shocked this year. Can a place be run down so quickly? Here it is shown to you, it is possible. Mold in the sanitary facilities, dirt everywhere. In the shower, you either get burned or frozen. Try washing your dishes... it's scary. Caravan disposal is a joke. Please have some understanding and save this place.

Maximum Profit Optimization!

September 2022

It is clearly felt here how the quality of profit optimization suffers. The price/performance ratio is no longer right. Very unfortunate, as the location is unique. Perhaps there is a lack of competition. Never again!!

Is there still hope?

Stefan

April 2021

Is this really one of the directors of Regenbogen? I don't think so. They seem to not care at all about what the guests say. Looking at the topics in the business report, one can also understand the thinking of the gentlemen a bit. It’s all about money. That’s legitimate, but the concept doesn’t work in Suhrendorf. By the way, my email to the address in the imprint returned as undeliverable. Regenbogen has taken our second home away from us. First of all: anyone who doesn't love the site hates it and should never come back. It has always been this way, and it is well expressed in the other comments from the vacationers who randomly got stranded here. We loved it for decades. No further explanations are needed - anyone who knows it knows what I mean. From the other Regenbogen sites, we know how guests are treated - eat or die. That works there too. These are just sites in a super location, and whoever wants to set up their tent has to accept it. The spots are full during the season - one way or another. (It is questionable, however, why one doesn't try something else somewhere in Europe. Nowhere have we ever experienced such ignorance towards guests. Why do people put up with this? Well…) The fact that a rather painless start of Regenbogen could take place here in Suhrendorf is thanks to Corona. Everyone with a camper tried their luck in Germany, and those who didn’t have a camper quickly bought one to fill the few spots. Suhrendorf was fully booked. In the years before (and it will be that way again), there may have been slightly more people in August, but in July or September I estimate the occupancy at a maximum of 50%. At any time, one could start the camper (after studying the wind report) and head up. Perhaps, if very good conditions were reported, one would have quickly made a call and secured their favorite spot. "Tell me how long you want to stay at most" and then the spot was secure. After two days the wind would die down - okay - let’s go home, paid, and see you next time… The shower situation, the bad pathways, the water and chemical toilet situation, the mediocre restaurant, the “beach”… all of this was not optimal, but it never stopped us from coming back again and again to this magical place. (By the way, also with our children, who spent many happy holidays here. Yes - even without children’s animation…) And the staff were friendly and we were friendly and we were at home… Up there you always met the same people - family - that also means regular guests. This family lived off this campsite and hopefully it will again after this bout of arrogance, because - who wants to endure all the adversities on the campsite, the long roads to a town or to a beach (both at least 45 minutes by car) or the stagnant water for their free days, who doesn’t enjoy the relaxed gliding on the shallow water, the daily walk to the sunset on the dike, chatting with like-minded individuals, the warm welcome at the reception, the short chat while picking up bread or an evening walk to the pizzeria… Actually, only so little needs to be changed. Dear managers - don’t insist on your central booking system anymore. Allow someone to come, stay if they like it, and go if it doesn’t fit or the wind has died down. Give people the spots they want. Start to like your guests, and they will come back gladly and bring you their money. I know well - nothing has ever gotten better, but here I don’t want to completely give up hope for us Suhrendorf lovers just yet. Suhrendorf is a feeling…
