Vacation August/September 2025

We were there for the 2nd time, after everything was really great in 2022. Unfortunately, it was not as nice this time, as there was tremendous unrest at the site, leading to the assumption that the site rules were disregarded. There was no peace either at night or during the day. The sanitary facilities were excellent, and the staff very nice. Unfortunately, the on-site dog beach was simply nonexistent. And for dog owners who kept an eye on their dogs' behavior, the behavior of some other dog owners was a slap in the face, and it felt like any violation of the site rules was accepted. All in all, this year was really a disappointment. Too bad! We probably won’t be coming back.

We really expected more. When you book a fully sunny spot on the site map, you don’t expect to be standing under birches. WiFi is available, but with a bit of luck, it is sufficient for a message. The automatic gate is a good idea. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work seamlessly. But I don’t want to just complain. The sanitary facilities are clean, and the shop has everything you need. There are also some offerings for children. The place is not ideal for dogs. There is only the opportunity to let your dog run far outside.

What unfortunately was not so nice

Basically a nice campsite. The washrooms are fine, the description of the site is accurate, but I do not understand why the grass has to be mowed between 1 PM and 3 PM, and a chemical toilet disposal truck has to pick up the waste products. This could be done between 9 AM-1 PM or 3 PM-6 PM. What was also not great is that a needed gas bottle exchange could not take place because there was no suitable bottle available. The next delivery of gas bottles unfortunately will only arrive in 5 days. So you sit there at 4 degrees at night in the cold. I would have expected a little more customer orientation at this site. Such things can be arranged with a bit of goodwill. For this reason, I give a grade of 3. With 4.5 stars, there needs to be an extra effort.

Sanitary facilities are limited, wifi is poor, dogs only allowed to a limited degree

1st row spot great view of the sea. Paths very poorly lit, no wifi reception in the mobile home. In the men's sanitary building: 2 showers, water flow (shut off possible) for 4 minutes quite tight, then no water for 5 minutes. 2 sitting toilets, 2 wash cubicles (one of which is defective, no water). Everywhere prohibition signs (could be formulated friendlier). On weekends events with extremely loud music, also many outsiders present, many of them heavily drunk, broken glasses on the paths, use of sanitary facilities. For children/campers, not a nice sight. That dog mess, if it happens, must be cleaned up, goes without saying. But how to prevent or even clean up that little mess on the way to the exit, I do not understand. For €7(!)/day the dog is offered a beautiful beach, accessible only by rocks at higher water.

Spot in the front row (C area) very small, firm, clayey ground, does not absorb water in case of rain. Countless no-entry signs. Dogs are also supposed to do their little business outside the site (the ugly). Wi-Fi reception extremely poor, impossible in the camper! Mobile reception also extremely poor. Snacks on site very expensive (small portion of fries €4.50). In our sanitary building, there were only 2 wash cubicles (one had no running water), 2 sitting toilets, 2 shower cubicles. For the latter, there is a shower time of 4 minutes available, automatic switch-off every 20 seconds. After the 4 minutes, water is shut off for 5 minutes. On weekends in the evening disco etc. During our stay also accessible to outsiders. Result: drunk people were wandering around the site and in the toilets, broken beer glasses on the paths.

Best Campsite by the Baltic Sea

August 2024

The best campsite by the Baltic Sea! The childcare is excellent and very dedicated. There is so much offered for families. Whether it's a children's disco, campfire on the beach, volleyball tournament, faxkelumzug, bingo, and much more. The site is beautifully laid out for walking and is very clean. The sanitary facilities are always very clean and modern. We come back every year and are always excited!

Great family-friendly campsite

The site is excellent + friendly and very helpful staff with particularly lovingly and modern designed sanitary facilities. But: Prices in the Ankerbar (13.50 € for currywurst with fries) are decidedly too high! And particularly bad and off-putting is the access road to the Ostseecamp, for which the municipality is responsible, not the campsite operator! This access road is unclear (due to hilly course) and in an accident-prone condition, as the shoulder is unpaved and riddled with countless deep potholes, into which one inevitably drives when one has to abruptly swerve to avoid often topographically unpredictable oncoming traffic. Dangerous because of the depth of the potholes, especially for low-hanging movers of caravans. And then there’s oncoming traffic from large agricultural machinery. The municipality thinks that having 30 km/h signs is sufficient.

More infos about Ostseecamp Seeblick

Ostseecamp Seeblick is located on the cliffs in the west of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern between Rerik and Kühlungsborn, just a few steps from the beach. This family-friendly campsite impresses with its wonderful location and friendly atmosphere, a child-friendly entertainment programme and wellness facilities. The water sports facilities on site are also very popular with guests. Holidaymakers can also fish for their own dinner in the Baltic Sea.

Cosy, quiet campsite right on the beach

Fields and meadows surround the campsite and the vast Baltic Sea lies directly in front of the site: a picturesque tranquillity prevails at Ostseecamp Seeblick. Holidaymakers arrive here from early March and can spend their camping holiday by the Baltic Sea until November. In addition to the rental accommodation, there are 401 parcelled pitches spread over nine hectares. The normal pitches measure between 80 and 100 square metres, while the comfort pitches offer up to 120 square metres of space. These pitches are also equipped with electricity, fresh water and waste water connections. WLAN is available to all guests on the camping site. The pitches in the front row are somewhat smaller, but offer the best view of the glittering water. Next to the main beach to the west is the beach section where dog owners can let off steam with their four-legged friends. The wellness area at Ostseecamp Seeblick invites you to relax and unwind. In addition to a sauna, there are treatment rooms where massages and care treatments are offered. There is also a wide range of food, drinks, household goods and camping accessories on offer at the campsite's own mini-market. If you don't feel like cooking, you can indulge in Italian specialities in the restaurant.

Fishing trips, climbing and fun for the kids

The diving centre is also located on the main beach. Taster courses are offered regularly. Licensed divers can hire equipment on site and explore the underwater world of the Baltic Sea. Guided fishing tours are also popular with fishing enthusiasts. If you are lucky enough to catch a big cod from the sea, for example, you can have your catch frozen in the campsite's reception building and take it home with you on your return journey. Other varied excursions during your stay at Ostseecamp Seeblick could take you to the climbing forest in Kühlungsborn. This is located just 8 kilometres from the campsite. An ideal excursion destination for families with children is the Pandino indoor playground near the Hanseatic city of Rostock. It takes just under 30 minutes by car to reach the 3,200 square metre leisure area.
