We were there with friends in March 2023 for an extended weekend and were pretty much the only guests. The location of the site is very nice, right in the woods and by the reservoir. Good Campsite
Actually quite good except that you can't get pegs into the ground as it's full of stones etc. The location is great and it's quiet at night. The rental bathrooms are also very clean and well-equipped. There is a deduction in terms of prices, however, I still give a full score of stars.

Greatly located campsite
We were here in July with our 3 dogs. Great for walking in the forests around the lake and swimming in the really beautiful lake. Clean sanitary facilities, friendly staff. We will come back sometime.😃

Mega beautiful place
We go there at least 3-4 times a year. Very friendly staff and above all very dog friendly. By the way, the electricity is a flat fee of 4.50€ So everything is safe.

Uncomplicated, clean, beautiful location
The camping is mainly run by men and thus seems very uncomplicated. The site manager is very accommodating and responds to requests. The sanitary facilities are clean. Beautifully located place
In the middle of the forest by the reservoir lies the site. Despite the rain, we had a nice time. The sanitary facilities are clean. However, I think 3 showers are a bit few. Those who enjoy hiking are well taken care of here.

4-star campsite with a natural location by the lake
Holidaymakers can choose from 130 pitches on the 10-hectare site. The pitches, which are not parcelled out, all have electricity and some also have water and waste water connections. Two sanitary blocks, a communal kitchen, laundry facilities and WLAN throughout the site provide additional comfort. There is also the option of a private bathroom on request. The dog-friendly campsite has a large sunbathing lawn right by the lake. In fine weather, the lakeshore with a view of the conifers of the Thuringian Forest is a favourite spot on the site. There you can refresh yourself with a dip in the water or explore the lake in a hire rowing boat. Fishing is also permitted here. A popular alternative excursion is an extensive hike through the surrounding nature reserve. The campsite also rents out bicycles for day trips. In general, the many excursion destinations, such as the university town of Ilmenau, 22 kilometres away, or Erfurt, 45 kilometres away, offer something for all weathers. The Dwarf Museum in Gräfenroda, just 6 km away, is also an insider tip. After an active day, you can make yourself comfortable in the associated restaurant, which also organises private celebrations, and treat yourself to creative culinary delights. In summer, the snack bar right by the lake also serves snacks and drinks.
