We have been here several times and have always enjoyed our stay. This site is our go-to place when we have wanderlust but don’t want to travel far. The kids, currently 8 years old, can move around freely without the risk of getting lost. Whether it’s in the swimming pond, at the playground, or in the animal enclosure, there’s always something to discover. The sanitary facilities are really nice, clean, and tidy, and the staff is always friendly and in a good mood. The food service, especially the ice cream for those with a sweet tooth, comes highly recommended.

First of all, the gastronomy is good. The portions are sufficiently large and the price is justified. Taste is always subjective. I enjoyed it. Regarding the actual campsite; the site is unkempt. The paths are made of a gravel mixture and are very bumpy. You can imagine what the site looks like in the rain. The transitions between the grass of the plots and the paths are not separated. This causes the grass to mix with the gravel and contributes to it. The pavement of the street is partially sunken. The swimming pool is full of algae, to the extent that the stairs are life-threatening and should be closed. The bottom of the pool is as smooth as ice. Walking is not possible. Overall, technically, it is poorly maintained.

Pros: - Barrier with license plate recognition. - You can handle everything online without having to visit the reception. - Camper Clean. - "Gastro". - Feeding machines 24/7. - Clean sanitary facilities. Cons: - The specified closing times are not respected. You can enter and exit even during quiet hours. - The barrier is quite narrow but passable. - The kiosk staff is very friendly... so friendly that they repeatedly inform everyone that they can tip in various amounts during the payment process. Since it’s self-service, the staff should actually be giving tips to the guests!!! Or seriously reconsider the prices of the items. - Since there is no shop on the site, the machines are well visited. Often empty. Partially defective. Money was deducted without any goods being dispensed. - The bathrooms are disgusting and foul-smelling.

Very nice place, super natural swimming pool, clean sanitary facilities. Absolutely GREAT staff. Always helpful and prompt to assist. We, as people from Bavaria, were bombastically impressed by the Ruhr Area. Very nice people. There is a lot to see and explore. (Zollverein Essen, Duisburg Zoo, Haltern am See, wild horses in Drmen, Münster, etc.) We certainly weren't there for the last time in the Ruhr.

This place is simply for relaxing. The crew is really laid-back, and you can enjoy a few days rested. And the natural swimming pool invites you for sports activities and cooling off.

I have already been there 3 times this year. I think that speaks for itself! Super nice place, very nice team - it almost feels like coming home! The individual spots are nice and big, the swimming pond is beautifully landscaped, and the sanitary facilities have always been clean and tidy, even though the place was completely full on the weekends. One thing that is not quite optimal is that water stays on the pitches for a long time after it rains, making it a bit muddy. But that doesn't bother me too much!

A beautiful little piece of earth. Everything laid out with a lot of heart and love for detail. Large plots with water, electricity, and grey water directly at the parking spot. Very nice and helpful crew. Sanitary facilities new and very clean. A paradise for children. The highlight: The swimming pond.
