Toilets super clean and well-kept, natural area with sunny and shaded spots. Very accommodating and helpful operator couple. The site itself is clean and tidy without parcels, we feel very comfortable there and will come back. Very beautiful sandy beach ideal for children as well as the playground, which is nicely designed.

We were there with a dog for Ascension. Positive: - The campsite is nature. - Lots of children there - A few meters to walk to the beach bath - Sanitary (only sink and toilet) is clean. - Sanitary (shower) is really great. - Hiking by the sea is nice. Disadvantages: - No kiosk at all - Shopping is about 15 minutes (about 15km) by car - No ice cream on site - A bit of chaos at the site

First the bad :( .The supply situation with food and household goods in the region within about 10-15 km is catastrophic. Large shopping trips are only possible in Bautzen (18km) as there are no supermarkets in the region. 'Tante Emma' shops are available in Dauban (3km) or Malschwitz (7km), even Edeka and Penny are about 12-15 km from the campsite, but for long-term campers with a motorhome, without an additional 2nd car, it's a big problem. Small purchases by bicycle are life-threatening and not advisable due to the complete absence of bike paths on the country road. Although there is a self-service store inside the nature campsite, the prices are unreasonably high (up to 4 times as much as in the supermarket). For short vacations, "Steve's Store" is still acceptable, but for long-term/seasonal campers, it is advised against as one can quickly fall into a money trap. Also, the "daily" fresh rolls offered there are already cold and partly hard at the opening of the store. Tip: Bring provisions for the stay, or arrive as a long-term camper with a caravan and a mobile car! Everything else is first-class. The operating family is very nice and helpful. The price for the pitch for long-term campers is very good. Wi-Fi reception is said to be brought up to date in 2021. Mobile phone and internet run at maximum speed. Chemical toilets, WCs, water supply, kitchen washing-up, showers, etc. Everything is available and cleaned daily. Long-term campers are friendly and although I have only been at the site for about 6 weeks, close friendships have been forged with several nights of partying. The campsite is located in a pretty little forest by Lake Olbasee. The bathing beach is wonderful, even a nudist beach is available. A bird paradise in the truest sense, whether colorful green woodpeckers, cuckoos, hoopoes, chaffinches, etc., everything is present. Pure nature and full enjoyment guaranteed, condition - food for the stay is available, or a car to make purchases. I give 5 stars as the operator of the campsite cannot do anything about the fact that this region has such a poor supply of food.

We have been coming to this beautiful place for many years. Often just for weekends. To swim and relax. Many years with a tent and for the past 2 years with a caravan. We have always felt safe and comfortable. Keep it up. Family Bischof

Small and peaceful nature campsite without parceling and big fuss, like animation etc. Perfect for resting and relaxing, cycling, and swimming. Small kiosk on site to have fresh rolls (on pre-order) in the morning. Children can play and romp here. Very nice operator couple along with staff who strive to fulfill all requests and wishes. The somewhat older sanitary facilities were always very clean. Only the timers on the 50-cent showers could be re-adjusted... Currently, the beach hut is unfortunately closed, but there are 2 restaurants within a 10-minute bike ride. The site is definitely recommended for campers seeking peace and a connection with nature. Unfortunately, there is still no supply and disposal (gray water) for motorhomes on site or in the immediate vicinity. Cassette toilets/chemical toilets can be disposed of.

We were at this site over Easter, shady pitches are mostly provided for travelers on the meadow, etc. There is also a nice playground, a snack bar, and a restaurant. The operators are very nice and helpful, which also applies to their staff. The site is very well-maintained overall, the simple sanitary facilities were always top clean, unfortunately, they were only accessible with a key, and there are no children's sinks or baby baths. You don’t need shower tokens but rather 50 cent coins to shower, which I think is good. Additionally, the site has internet via WLAN, the only disadvantage is that you can only register one device with the network key. For the key to the sanitary facilities and the barrier at the main entrance, you must deposit a €20 deposit upon registration.

More infos about Naturcampingplatz am Olbasee

The location in a biosphere reserve with a view of the water makes the nature campsite on Lake Olba particularly popular with nature lovers. With a child-friendly atmosphere and directly adjacent hiking trails, you can spend a particularly relaxing active holiday here with the whole family.

Family-friendly campsite surrounded by idyllic nature

There are 100 pitches available for holidaymakers on the approximately 7-hectare campsite site. Naturally, the amenities include electricity and use of the sanitary facilities, washroom and kitchen. WLAN is available in some areas. Dogs are also very welcome. The many shady trees, green meadows and lakeside location create a peaceful and natural ambience on the site, which can be enjoyed all the more thanks to the high level of privacy. There is also a playground, table tennis tables and a volleyball court for fun and games. The beautiful Olba Lake with its 100 metre long sandy beach is ideal for swimming and therefore offers excellent refreshment in summer. The staff at reception are also happy to provide advice on other excursion destinations. In particular, the adventure trail around the lake allows the whole family to learn more about the flora and fauna of the region. It is worth cycling along part of the 260 km long and well-marked frog cycle path. Alternatively, a day trip to Bautzen, just 20 kilometres away, is recommended for those interested in culture. Despite its location close to nature, the campsite can be reached quickly and easily via the nearby motorway.
