The campsite has a special flair in spring and autumn, when thousands of cranes fly over the site on their way to their summer or winter quarters. It is only a 700 metre walk from the campsite to the Barthener Strom. The kilometre-long sandy beach is a wonderful place to play, walk and splash around. There is a kite school and stand-up paddle board and paddle boat hire right on the beach. The distance from the campsite to the Baltic Sea is 7 km. The small town of Pruchten offers shopping facilities and restaurants. The region around NATURCAMP Pruchten is a paradise for cyclists. The network of paths is excellently signposted with white and green signposts. Ambitious cyclists can complete the 84 kilometre tour around the Bodden in one day. The route runs along the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula and on the mainland. A highlight on the route is Ribnitz-Damgarten. It is worth taking a break here to visit the amber museum and the harbour. If the whole route is too long for you, take the ferry to take a shortcut. The resort town of Barth, 7 kilometres from the campsite, is also worth a visit. Lovingly restored merchants' houses provide a romantic flair. One of the most striking buildings is the Dammtor, which was built in the 14th century. Fans of shipping will enjoy a visit to the Windjammer Museum. Surrounded by a natural Bodden landscape and in the immediate vicinity of the Barthener Strom, NATURCAMP Pruchten attracts visitors. Nature lovers can enjoy cycling tours and hikes in the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park. As there are two playgrounds on the campsite, it is popular with families.
