The place itself is just okay. On 2nd April 2024, the access road was not cleared. Access was only possible with snow chains or spikes. We decided to opt out.

Not Worth the Money

Functional, rather unloving, overfilled place for 400 NRK including electricity at the beginning of August. The noise from the bar unbearable even after 11 PM. Showers in very tight spaces but included. There is a lot of shortcut traffic over our pitch due to lack of boundaries. Immediate surroundings mediocre. Most expensive campground of our 2-month trip in Norway!

Good traffic location!

The location is good if you want to go directly from the ferry to a campsite. The view of the sea is great if the weather cooperates. The sight of the crowd in front of the two toilets for each gender in the morning is frightening. In the newer shower building, there are also toilets, but it is closed from 12:00 to 16:00. The reason for this is not clear to the average camper. Well, there is a disposal for the camping toilet that, according to locals, disposes directly into the sea. The motorhome sites are well equipped and secured with CEE connections for electricity. There is no Wi-Fi, and mobile reception is rather slow. There are too few parking spots at check-in, which leads to chaos when the ferry drops off a wave of new campers. Those who are further back in line and have obtained a code for the barrier and want to get in cannot do so because the ones at the front of the line do not have it yet and cannot enter. Here, PATIENCE is required. It becomes difficult when the campsite is filled, those at the back are allowed in, but those at the front are not, and there is no space to turn around.

Disposal Concerning

On our first trip to the sea below the campsites, we discovered the blue brine and remnants of chemical toilets that flowed directly to the surface towards the sea. That's really not acceptable.

Beautiful view, but way too few toilets and showers!

Waiting in line for a toilet or shower in the morning is not fun! For so many spots, only 3 toilets and 2 showers per gender is way too little!

Very nice site above the ferry terminal in Moskenes
Very good8

The site is laid out in different levels. You have a very beautiful view here. All the pitches are parcelled out and have electricity. The sanitary facilities are clean but unfortunately too few for the size of the site. Waste disposal is very good and the supply of fresh water is well separated from the waste disposal.

Hiking and Ferry...

Well-designed site, sanitary facilities are okay, the number of washing machines and dryers is a bit scarce during peak occupancy, the toilets are somewhat small. Waste disposal is very well arranged: fresh water is far from wastewater and cassette disposal. CEE, pitches are paved. This site is well-suited for hikes in the surrounding area as well as being a last (or first) stop on a ferry crossing to Bodø or Værøy.

I stayed 5 days in a tent. The kitchen and showers were provided for free, which is not common. Great campsite with a wonderful view and a perfect location near the ferry terminal.
