Campsite in need of renovation

Beautifully situated by the Moselle, about 1.5 km from Cochem, shopping center within walking distance... and with that the positive things more or less end.... Renovation measures in the sanitary facilities have been overdue for at least 20 years. The showers are so small that everything is really wet. 16 campers are plugged into one power box, and everywhere there are power cables lying on the paths. You need at least one power reel to even have enough range. You pay extra for the electricity connection... and it's common to just connect the 2nd camper to the same protection by a split... Adventurous, and it simply amazes that nothing has happened yet. The site is of course full to bursting during the wine festival and it is correspondingly loud. The fact that a camper even arrives with a beer cart and karaoke bar is accepted... it was also basically fun, but anyone looking for peace is in the wrong place.

Bad campsite, we wouldn't even come back for one night. We left two days earlier. Everything is muddy, the sanitary facilities are totally outdated and cold. It is very noisy due to the busy railway line, there is also a federal road that runs right next to it which is also very loud.

Actually, the campsite is not badly located. Unfortunately, there is no bread roll service, many pitches are very sloped, the cables lie unprotected over the paths, there is no coffee in the camper area, and the sanitary buildings are very dated.

The campsite is nicely located right by the Moselle. It's not far to walk to the town of Cochem, which is worth a visit. The site is very nice, the reception was very, very friendly, and all questions were answered. The small snack bar on the site was also very friendly and delicious. The sanitary facilities were always clean during our short stay.

Very friendly reception. Pitch in the front row. Size of the pitch completely okay. Sanitary building old but always clean during our stay. Location great for visiting Cochem, 2 km on foot.

The campsite is relatively muddy in wet weather. The sanitation facilities were not really good and clean. The location to Cochem is great. About 1.5 km walking distance to the old town. A short stay is okay but not suitable for a longer stay.

A Shameful Situation of Hygiene

August 2022

Here we are now in one of the spots right by the water. Super nice, even though the spot is hardly reachable by car. We got spot number 509. After an adventurous quest to find electricity, we had to check out the bathrooms. With dismay!!!! Showering here is a disgusting challenge. They clearly haven't been cleaned today or for a long time!! See pictures of the mold attached! After a conversation with the colleague on site, this is apparently quite new?? We paid for the spot that is shown on the website, but this has nothing to do with it. Everywhere there are power cables lying around, dirty bathrooms, and no Wi-Fi at the spot, even though we were standing right near the main building.

We were received super friendly, extension went without any problems! The sanitary facilities are a bit older but clean and tidy, all the staff are super nice and accommodating. The location is good, supermarket and drugstore are within walking distance. On the other side of the Moselle, trains run regularly, but you eventually don't really notice them anymore. The view and location are good, Cochem is reached in a 10-minute walk.
