Camping in a natural monument is possible at Marijampole Camping in the south of the Lithuanian town of Marijampolė. The peaceful campsite is idyllically situated in a loop of the Šešupė River in Marių Park, which is surrounded by tall birch trees and shrubs. A flat meadow area offers shady pitches for caravans and motorhomes. Children can run around in the playground. A bathing platform, water bike hire and opportunities for fishing and beach volleyball also guarantee recreational fun. Marijampole Camping is the perfect starting point for exploring Marijampolė. The secret capital of the Suvalkija region is crossed by the Via Baltica, which serves as a transit route from Poland to the Baltic States. The whitewashed basilica of St Michael the Archangel is well worth seeing. Colourful works by local street artists can also be found in many places.

Great place for a night or more
Very nice staff, everything on site. We were here for an overnight stay and initially thought it was already closed, but we were still able to have a very quiet night.

Very nice campsite
We stayed there for one night on our way through. The campsite is very quiet. There is a swimming lake there. Very nice for children. There are free showers, toilets, a kitchen, and drinking water. You can rent cushions cheaply there. We paid 16 € for a tent (for 4 people) and a car. The staff there… More
