Main Glueck Camping

Spacious area by the Main, loud due to party atmosphere. The operator is extremely friendly, there is nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the on-site provision significantly tarnishes the image. From noon, there were only burgers available, and shopping options directly on-site are virtually non-existent. For motorhome travelers, this is impractical as there is no small snack bar or shop. A bottle of wine costs around €20, which is already quite steep. The allocation of pitching sites was unclear to us. We had explicitly asked for a spot with water, but were told that everything was occupied – even though the site was only about half full and more than 20 spots were free in the front section. Instead, all were placed closely together, which promptly led to issues with neighbors due to lack of space.

On our way, we stayed here for two days. Large open meadow without hedges with individual trees. Right on the Main river. The sanitary facilities and the swimming pool are in top condition. For shopping, it's 10 km further to Marktheidenfeld with Lidl, Aldi, etc. To stroll and eat out, it's 10 km in the opposite direction to Lohr am Main. The campground is currently undergoing renovations and new things are being created.

In itself, a beautiful campsite with a view of the Main. The prices per night are great and the sanitary facilities are super clean and modern. However, the campsite is not for people looking for peace and relaxation because aside from the road next to it, which is still bearable, the loud music from the campsite operators blares throughout the campsite all day, making it impossible to have a conversation in the sanitary area. Despite the request for quiet in the campsite regulations, the focus seems to be on customers who are motorcycle and motorsport enthusiasts, which is why there's often a lot of noise coming from the campsite. However, I was there over the weekend; I cannot say if it is the same during the week.

Located directly on the Main with water access along the entire length. Ideal for SUP (Stand Up Paddle) riding. The coin-operated showers are inappropriate, as they do not quite match the high price per night; they are annoying! Although you can hear the street quite clearly, it is never completely quiet directly by the Main. The uncomplicated choice of pitch is nice, and there is often still a spot free for last-minute decision-makers, even on long weekends!

Very nice large site directly on the Main. Unusually modern and clean (!) sanitary facilities and a great large clean pool set this campsite apart. We really liked the relaxed atmosphere and the nice helpful operators! This site is still at the very beginning and certainly not everything is perfect yet. But you can tell that behind the idea of this place is a motivated team. If you're looking for a groomed high-end site, you're in the wrong place; if you love camping, you'll feel absolutely comfortable here. Conclusion: A pleasant campsite to feel good with potential.
