Main-Camping

Positive: Location directly on the Main and right by the swimming lake, pitches are paved, friendly staff, good price/performance ratio, nice beach bar. Negative: Sanitary facilities are insufficient and not up-to-date for the number of guests, cleaning only once a day, another modern and slightly more central sanitary building would be good.

The reception is super nice. The space and the sanitary facilities are very clean. We will come back.

We stayed for 4 days at the site and we really liked it. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were not really cleaned (the problem is known), there was staff present (allegedly a cleaning company) but checking twice a day is unfortunately not enough. The reception was super nice, the bread roll service was all great.

The Main campsite was our first campsite. We felt very comfortable. A nice welcome, bread roll service, we could do the dishes, wash laundry - everything the heart desires. For anglers, it was especially worthwhile, as we could fish directly in the lake. Even with 14 days of continuous rain, we had stable ground and no water in the awning, which was really great. We will definitely come back.

Very, very friendly reception, the spots right by the riverside are gorgeous, if you need a shovel, a restaurant is in immediate proximity, as well as a beach bar. The sanitary facilities are adequate.

We spent a great weekend here with our friends. The site is right on the Main, our pitch had direct access to the Main. Ideal for canoeing and paddleboarding. The swimming lake next door is a great place to relax in the 'Caribbean Corner'. The washroom is not top-modern - but always clean and there is warm water available at any time for showering. The reception was well organized and very welcoming. A baker on wheels comes to the site for rolls for breakfast. The measures required because of Corona were well implemented. We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to it. There is still much to explore in the area.

Quiet spot by the Main. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities do not meet the requirements of a modern campsite.

Cozy place right by the Main. Additionally, there is a small bathing pond right next to the site. We were there at the beginning of July with the caravan, and at that time it was not crowded. According to the receptionist, however, they had no vacancies a few days prior. The pitches are partly paved and/or located under trees. Right by the riverbank, there are nice tent pitches on the lawn. There are some permanent pitches, but we did not find them disturbing. The sanitary facilities are not brand new but clean. We will gladly come back.
