The place itself is great, unfortunately a bit messy and has seen better days. With some paint and cleaning up it would be a nice place again. Otherwise, a nice place to spend some time with the kids.

The place is quite okay. However, the place should be tidied up more, as it looks messy and that's a shame. The sanitary facilities are old and it smells there; they could use more maintenance.

We spent a long weekend at the fairy tale camping and had a wonderful time. The free-roaming animals (donkeys, chickens, cats) were a highlight for the children and the additional offerings were also completely sufficient to have plenty of movement. The entire facility is a bit old and could be spruced up with a little paint and renovations, but everything you need is available on site.

Since we did not receive a response to our email inquiry, we called just to confirm our spot. We were told on the phone that we should check in before 8 PM. At 1:30 PM we arrived on site and were first reprimanded for arriving too early and were also told that we needed to move the camper van out of the driveway since it must always remain clear. If we were willing to pay the daily rate for our two children and the two of us adults additionally, we would be allowed to check in before 3 PM. Somewhat irritated by the not very warm welcome, we still wanted to stay and parked the camper van to the side, as we could only check in then. After moving the vehicle, we returned to the reception where we were informed that children are only allowed back in the pool after 3:00 PM, due to the midday quiet time. I do not understand why adults are allowed to use the pool during the midday quiet time at a campsite that seems very child-friendly with the name "Fairy Tale Camping." While we didn't necessarily want to go into the pool before 3 PM, after being told what we did wrong and what we were not allowed, we promptly moved to another campsite by the lake where we were warmly welcomed. Although we were looking forward to the animals, we have never experienced such a welcome at a campsite. However, the campsite directly by the bathing lake quickly comforted us!

As a transitional place for one night (motorhome with two people and two dogs), ideal also for families with children. Very many animals (including prairie dogs, a large aviary, and free-roaming donkeys). Camping spots separated from permanent campers. The facility has a noticeable backlog in renovations overall; the washrooms are quite simple and old, but very nice and dedicated operators. The rating is therefore average, with modern infrastructure that will likely be worked on, easily a 4* site.

We stayed for one night at this special campsite. We consciously chose it so our son (3 years old) could have a more relaxed, rural experience after a city camping spot. It was a complete success. As expected, the campsite is a large construction site - typical for a farm - but absolutely not unpleasant or dangerous. Everything important works, and you can see that everything that has already been modernized was chosen with care. The shower system is super simple and efficient. You get one euro for showers, and that's enough to shower relaxed, but not for wellness. We had the chickens visiting us directly, and the donkeys also came by regularly to say hello. Since we were there outside of the season during the week, it was very quiet. All animals are well taken care of. Our son thought the somewhat outdated, but therefore even more wonderful playground was great. There were also new trampolines and a new basket swing. In the morning, we went for a walk through the nearby mixed forest. It was very beautiful! The owners were also very friendly. If we ever need a campsite near here again, we would definitely come back.

You are welcomed kindly, everything is simple but quite alright. The sanitary facilities are clean, old! Currently, part of the area is very unkempt, which is probably due to the restructuring. Play opportunities are present, donkeys and chickens come by occasionally. The only downside is the nearby highway, which can be a bit annoying depending on the wind. Pool area available, even a sauna, but unfortunately, it was closed. Price performance is appropriate, especially since much is in transition here. We will test again in 2022 😊

I had dealings in Bremen for professional reasons and spent a few weeks at the site.....the operators made a great effort.....one might criticize the sanitary facilities for not being new, but they were clean and that's important.....in the evenings the donkeys would also come by.....my pitch was very nice.....the operator also helped me in the first week with a cable reel, as mine was at home.....I can't say anything bad about the place....I would gladly come back
