Slightly sloping meadow terrain with some terraces, interspersed with deciduous trees and bushes. Adjacent to a swimming pool. Located on a hill above Lahnstein, next to Burg Lahneck. Views of the Lahn and Rhine valleys with Schloss Stolzenfels.
Between Diez and Lahnstein, the river is accompanied by busy roads in some places. Combined with shipping traffic, this situation can lead to disturbances at campsites located along the river.

We were traveling in a group of three. The terrain is located above the town of Lahnstein. Right next door is the Lahneck Castle. The operator places great importance on the precise and thorough maintenance of the site. This is also evident in the very clean sanitary facilities from the 1960s. Electricity is available. Unfortunately, there is no roll service or shop. Ideal for relaxation and peace! For families with children, the adjacent outdoor pool is an option.

Introduction to the "waiting area". Note from the owner that he divides his time very precisely and although he is in his little house with the door open, he does not provide any information, etc. Warm water for showering is boiled, thus very modest for a woman with long hair. There are no paper towel dispensers, the rolls are behind the toilet, which has no lid, on a shelf. One also searches in vain for a towel dispenser, there is a rusty iron bar that is locked with paper on it. 1lg crepe. This is supposed to be used to dry hands. This is simply unacceptable these days. Only cash payments possible, a card machine would ultimately cost 500 € / year. The only commendable thing is the rolls.

We were immediately informed with brusqueness upon arrival that there was no selection of parking spaces allowed, and we were assigned a spot on open grass with precision to the centimeter! Clearly, the maintenance condition of the grass takes precedence over the well-being of the guests! Friendliness is different! We must warn against the attached restaurant. After enjoying a grilled trout, we experienced several days of stomach/intestine problems that required medication! As a cruel joke, the site owner added that now is certainly not a season for enjoying fish! Such outrageousness is compounded by the fact that upon departure, neither a safe journey is wished nor is there any inquiry about whether the stay was enjoyed! The positive aspect of this largely sunless site is the panoramic view of the Rhine and Lahn valleys!

Well-maintained site, super cleanliness in the sanitary area, beautiful large plots, great view, perfectly managed site. The buildings are somewhat older, but everything is top-notch. Other site owners can take a cue from here on how it should be done. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant in the immediate vicinity, very tasty and friendly owner.
