It is only around 1.5 km to the town centre with shopping facilities and a train connection. The Brocken, an impressive excursion destination and the highest peak in the Harz Mountains, is around 38 km away from KNAUS Campingpark Walkenried. Numerous trees surround the pitches on the natural meadow area and offer shade and privacy. A special feature of the campsite is its own indoor swimming pool with a sauna area. The campsite offers a wide range of sports facilities including table tennis, a football pitch, beach volleyball, table football and minigolf.
