KNAUS Campingpark Viechtach

A super friendly team, a good chef in the lounge ;-), we have been there 3 times already. Always at spot 162 - ideal for dog owners!!! A small suggestion for the new sanitary building: small bins in the bathrooms would be appropriate.

There is no sunshade by the holiday house. The terrace furniture is unusable as the metal gets boiling hot, as does the doorknob. Burn risk! There is no second house key available. There is no house light.

The campsite offers a lot of potential but suffers from a lack of maintenance. The indoor pool is in need of renovation, and the outdoor areas are poorly designed. Restaurants are often closed, the food is expensive and of low quality. The accommodations are small and the furnishings are minimal. There are also issues with cleanliness and waste disposal. On a positive note, the massage chairs in the sauna area and the external restaurant Waldblick are worth highlighting. For a 4-star rating, the daily upkeep is insufficient.

Beautiful sanitary facilities and a pleasant atmosphere that is also suitable for children and dog owners.

A small, charming campsite surrounded by nature. The children were very excited about Jordy from the animation. The mobile home was small, but nice.

Overall, the stay was pleasant. However, it was disappointing that apart from the festival, the children's sanitation facilities, and the food options, there was really nothing that resembled the countryside. For the size of the site, there was not enough washing machines. The only morning activity for children was inflating the bouncy castle. The children's disco in the evening was okay. When inquiring about the extent of the children's animation program, it was excused due to the festival. I would understand this if it was the first time the festival had taken place. It was very positive to note that the staff was extremely dedicated to addressing the needs of the guests.

We were there for the country festival. The new sanitary building has turned out very nicely. I have a few suggestions regarding this. For instance, how about placing small bins in the toilets and the shower, where there are also sinks, but unfortunately no bin? There is a large one in the corridor, but that is impractical when your hands are full. I also miss a few hooks on the shower wall to hang clothes. The toilets could use larger bins, and it might also be helpful to indicate on the doors where the toilet or shower is, so you don’t have to search for too long.

We really enjoyed our time at Knaus. There are plenty of activities for the children, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. The swimming pool could be a bit warmer and have a play area for smaller children. Unfortunately, the ponies could not be ridden during our stay, but taking care of them and their mere presence was already wonderful. From Viechtach, you can take great trips in all directions.
