KNAUS Campingpark Viechtach

The entire campsite, as well as the sanitary facilities, are excellently maintained; everything is nice and clean and tidy. Our pitch was quite large and very pleasantly shaded.

A very beautiful campsite, perfect for families with children.

The staff was always friendly and helpful. We were warmly welcomed. However, we were sent a pitch number via email, which then changed on-site. There's a nice playground for smaller children. The bouncy castle was only there for two days. The indoor pool is quite dated and cold! (It is now set to be renovated). One sanitary house was still under renovation, and there were shower containers nearby where unfortunately, water often pooled on the floor. There were no storage spaces or seating, which was not optimal with kids. To reach sanitary house I for rinsing, one had to walk a bit. The 10-minute walk to the outdoor pool was great! For children aged 0-4, the campsite is okay, but there isn't much offered for older kids. Our older child (7 years old) was rather bored. Shopping options are also reachable within a few minutes by car.

Everything was great, the new toilets and showers have turned out beautifully. Highly recommend, especially with a dog ❤️👋

Fenced dog areas, a very dog-friendly campsite.

The site is located directly under a high-voltage line with a view of an industrial area and is somewhat outdated. Our wooden cabin was situated on the edge and also a bit old-fashioned. For the price, it's still acceptable. It should be noted that the staff was very friendly. However, a cut branch remained next to the house throughout our stay, even though an employee walked by it twice in our presence.

Overall, it's pretty okay. Good for children.

The staff are very friendly; however, the extremely short reception hours make check-in challenging. It’s unfortunate that there are no charcoal grills available in the camping area.
